Prologue #1: Tears of An Old Man

Hey all, and welcome to the very first frame of a potentially very long-winded, immature (in the wrong way) and off-kilter little story on Drunk-Duck.

At this point, I'd like to thank the following people and tool companies for helping me get up to speed and producing this comic:

Perthcomics Livejournal
Rachel Ping Mui Yee (Keeping a journal by your bedside - best suggestion EVAH)
Adobe
Corel
E-Frontier
Newtek
Blambot (at least four fonts - and as soon as I can afford, a Pro font.)
EDU - Communications & Creative Industries Faculty (Actual formalised digital art training)

That was a short list, but by no means exhaustive. If you feel I've left you out despite meriting a shout, I do apologise. SQL TEXT fields have their limits and I do hate to squander… WTF am I doing?

Anyways, I need to clarify something: this comic is going to be a bit of a hodgepodge. I am going to concentrate on telling a story, not wringing maximum effect out of every single little pixel. I may pick up a brush, I may fire up a DCC program, I may sacrifice a plate of linguini to the Flying Fettucine Monster (a false god - see Flying Sphagetti Monster).

Don't come in just because you like one particular frame or another. Come in because the story seems to be growing in interesting ways…

Righto. Rant over, chaps. Rater. Erm, later, I mean.

P.S. Yes, that is a nuclear explosion. No, the Cataclysm is far worse than your worst Nuke Winter Nightmares. How much worse? Stay tuned…
