The comic's not late! I update on Central time! Even though I don't live in a Central time zone.

Sorry for the incredibly late comic, I've been really really distracted today. As an apology, I gave Gary those whites to his eyes that seemed to go over well.

So yes, the Emerald Tablet is a real thing in alchemy, and a very important thing in alchemy. It is believed to have been a real tablet, with historical accounts of its existence going all the way back to Egypt.

Any alchemist worth their salt knows it. I um… I don't know it by heart yet, but I know the opening bits. Look it up if you want. It totally does look like gibberish, but I assure you, it all means something.
