Oh Homunculus, you optimist.

Woo! Comic's up on time. I'd been trying to figure out how to best kick off this three-week storyline, and I think it came off as a bit more… blunt, than I'd expected. It's practically SHOUTING, "Hey, everybody, have a three-week storyline!"

I'm not sure how I feel about the art in this one. On the one hand, I'm happy with how the faces turned out. On the other hand, Gary's hair needs work and I was relieved to find that the only place for the bubble in Panel 1 was right over the cot, because while I was REALLY hoping to have a new view of the shed, I didn't like how it turned out, mostly because of the terrible art for Gary's legs. And wow, that was one major run-on sentence.

Interesting note, the book Gary's reading is actually titled "Alchemy for Morons." Back when I was first starting the series, I picked up The Complete Idiot's Guide to Alchemy. For uh… research. For the comic. Yyyyyeah.

Anyway, it's a good read, if anybody's interested in learning more about alchemy. It'll probably explain things better than I could, given my limited knowledge on the subject and inability to explain anything properly.

I pretty much expected it to be something Gary might have in his collection. So I made a little Lawyer-Friendly cameo, which would probably be closer to the "…For Dummies" series (I wonder if they have one on Alchemy too), but it was either this or "Even Dumbasses Can Learn: Alchemy."
