And so, the cracks form in the brilliant plan.

The thing with this comic is, Gary hadn't actually succeeded at dissolution before, so he hadn't thought that far ahead. And, truth be told, neither did I. In fact, I don't even know what the vessel he needs looks like. I feel really bad about that.

I initially had the last panel explaining the difference as being "left- and right-brained," but I worried I'd have to explain it (that the left brain is logical and the right brain is emotional, and I figured I'd just clean it out further to be more true to the aspects of the King and Queen as spoken of in Alchemy.)

As always, if I have any of my information wrong, I blame it on the fact that I, like Gary, am a complete novice.

(I mean, seriously, Gary's using a bunsen burner rather than an athanor, it's pretty easy to tell.)

What really weirds me out is… he DOES have an aludel, which is used in sublimation, and while not exactly one of the seven processes as the book I have gives, it IS a form of transmuation. It just won't be utilized in this storyline, and therefore Gary's probably wondering why the hell he even has it.
