I'm back from my disease-ridden, sleep-deprived, "relaxing" vacation.

and now to reply to a few comments from previous days:

Bass isn't the first to be made outside of a series or serve as a general, just the first made in the classification of "Master Elite"

The Ancient Machine is from neither MM8 nor the Arcade games. it would be more accurate to call it an Ancient Weapon (which is what it is called in the game its from)
