When Aurora says 'Papa', in this instance, she's referring to her grandfather, not her father. It can be confusing as the terminology can differ from person to person.

Obeah = the Jamaican/Trinidadian version of voodoo/any kind of occult magic

Fun fact: Krystal refers to Aurora as 'Simba' due to Aurora's obsession with The Lion King when they were in kindergarten.
