Based on this thread, I've decided to take something of an initiative and organize this.

Basically, you sign up one female and/or one male character from your comic (only one of each gender per participant, so choose wisely from your cast). You'll then be asked to draw the following: Your character in dress clothes; your character in swimwear; your character showing off their unique skill (so that's three images all in all). The final pieces will all be voted on by the general populace, and the winner will probably get some prize of some sort maybe.

Anyway, I basically just want to get this rolling, since these sorts of things tend to be talked about a lot, but there's usually too much debating about the best way to do it for it to actually get started. If anyone has any better ideas for how to handle the "judging", submission, categories, etc., I'm all ears. But for now this system should work okay.

Submissions will be accepted until the 14th of May. After that participants will be given one week to complete each category (so you don't have to do them all at once). Submissions per category will be limited to one image file per category, though you can use whatever you'd like as part of that submission (be it a single pinup image, a comic page, an animation, etc.)

This'd be hard to setup. First, where would the contest be held. Then who would do the judging. I'm pretty sure there'll be a lot of contestants, but the comic depicting the pageant should only be written about the finalists (otherwise it'd take too long to write) :)

Way to take initiative, Inkmonkey! This is going to really kick butt. If you need a hand organizing, let me know. (Don't know if that's kosher, though, since I want to enter, too.)

Female: Nancy the Necromancer (I wonder what her special talent will be…?)

Male: (This is kind of pathetic, since I only have the one strictly male character, and the odds of Walter entering a beauty pageant are slim to none. So we'll say all gender technicalities count, and round it up to: ) Cthulhu!

I'm really feeling naughty so I am going to horrify my characters and enter Zoe as my girl and 12345 (from Sanctuary) as my boy.

And if they could, they'd both skewer me for making them do this XD hehehe!

Eh…Busy month for me but hopefully I'll have time, so I'll go with just one character.
I'll sign up Kira Nitestream from "From Dawn Till Dusk",even if she wouldn't enjoy something like this and would end up killing me for it if she could.

One question. For the most part…do all the categories have to be full body so that most of the dress and swimsuit are actually shown? Or would up to the waist be ok as well?

Some characters would be serious type, some would be funny. Some would be pretty, some would be ugly. How does one judge the character as the winner?
