Tell a story about how you advertised in a funny way. For example….

I was at the Detriot Electronic Music Festival in Detriot, Michigan. Someone had brought some sidewalk chalk. So I did this.

Not only did I plug my comic three times on the main stage by drawing, I also plugged the duck. Volte you can thank me later hahaha :wink:

For a while before Duck crashed I had a Short Bus Brothel decal on the back of my car… With the link on the bottom.

Not to break subject, but a few months ago a man in Omaha, NE sold his fore head on eBay for advertising!!! Now thats useing your head! Just a little out of the norm for me.

I have a few shirts thats I've bought from comic creator's that are supported by the Duck, and lots of people come up to me while I'm out… A few people asking me questions, Where to find these comics, and so on. I'm a walking billboard for some comics on Drunk Duck…
But people always seem to flock to me when I'm wearing a Pinky TA shirt.

About the selling his forehead. I heard if you advertise Golden Palace Casino they will give you TONS of money. LIke a tatoo on your head or whatnot

For some reason… I don't doubt that. I know you can buy/sell advertising for just about anything these days. I heard something about people getting paid to put advertising on their car, house, body… ect, ect, ect.
About a year or two ago I was useing people as human bullboards for my art work by drawing on pants. I even thought of selling a pair on eBay, but the time and energy that goes into the work that I would have done… Probally wouldn't have made up for the money I would have got in return.

I like your plan to avertise your comic, and the duck on pavement/side walk.
I think I might just try this idea… Or come up with my own.

yeah it was crazy man. The main stage was HUGE and by the end of the day….it was allll drawn on by people. It was cool. I felt like a kid again drawing on the pavement.

I went into a bunch of classrooms at school once and wrote the comic url on the board, then a little doodle of a schoolkid shouting profanity.

I also did this whenever teachers left the classroom.

Kids love the curse words.

I wrote down my DrunkDuck URL on a white paper, and taped it next to an X-Men 3: The Last Stand poster (top part, actually). You know the kinda of place, the 7-11 sidewall, where everyone can post any poster.

Well, first off, I have business cards. They're not much– just a little card with some artwork on it, my webcomic's name, and a url (it's gotten a LOT easier to fit on a card after I bought the domain name teocomic.com). I give these to anybody who asks about my writing and/or drawing career. I also stick them up on bulletin boards, in window panes, and anywhere where a lot of people can see them and get curious. I've even been laying them in conspicious places every time I tour art colleges. (It can't hurt, right? Right??)

Another thing I do, around this time of year, is put my webcomic URL in other people's yearbooks that I sign. That way, they'll HAVE to come see it!

I have two pencils. And my doodle pencil is round. And I have a sharpener that makes my pencils super pointy so it can do little marks. Also, I'm just kick ass.

I wrote the link to my comics in the school newsletter and advertised 'What the teachers don't want you to see'. They wouldn't, because all the teachers at my school hate it when kids just draw, even the art teachers (Seriously, wtf?)

Didn't work, because the teachers pulled back every copy. They didn't want kids to see 'What the teachers don't want you to see', not even checking what it was

Have you ever been to one of those resturants where they give you crayons and you can draw right on the paper table cloth? I always leave the URL and a little picture at those places. Or on napkins at coffeeshops. And at bestbuy on the computers that have internet. I bring my page up. I'm terrible about doing that stuff. I feel bad about it, it's like i'm throwing my comic in peoples' faces.
