I haven't colored any pieces others have drawn, but the idea has always interested me. So I was wondering if anyone has any artwork or pages that they'd like a guest colorist for? All I ask it has clean, finished lineart. I don't want to be redrawing the whole picture/page.

I have two basic coloring styles -
Cel - http://www.drunkduck.com/20_Galaxies/index.php?p=43914
Soft - http://www.drunkduck.com/20_Galaxies/index.php?p=77061
I can also do a combination of the two - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/whirlwynd/3pacoverlj.jpg

Actually, that wasn't all I ask. I'll need color references. Anyone interested?

I'm interested.

My manga is B&W, but I'd like to have character biography pages showing the characters in full color. Since it's not a part of the manga proper, I don't care if your coloring style is different from my partner's grayscale coloring style.

Here's a sample of what some of the characters look like. This shows my art style. This isn't what you'd be coloring. You'd be coloring full-body portraits drawn specifically for you to color.

I have full-body color refs for each and every single character.

I can also help you a bit with improving your cel shading techniques. Now, I can't color worth spit, but I have many pics you should be able to use for ref. Specifically, your style in those sample pics with the face half shadowed and half lit is anatomically flawed. If you look at anime screen captures, you should be able to understand how the nose figures into the shading of the face.

Looks neat, I'd like to try that. And I'm always looking for tips, so I'm definitely interested in what you have to say about technique. You can send me the lines and refs and anything else to whirlwyndstorm at yahoo.com. Just one thing - I'm going to be out of town for a few days, so you might not hear back from me until later in the week.

If it's something you'd like to do, I'd like to see if you'd want to do the color for the first 4 pages of my next chapter when I get to it.

I really dig on your cell shading and wonder how it would look for Samurai Perfect.

I wonder what this would look like colored. I have a much bigger source file from my scanner if you like.

Man, I wish I had some clean line work in need of color! You're coloring is always outstanding! Unfortunately if I ever go so far as to clean up my line work I end up finishing the piece. I don't like to leave things unfinished if I can help it.

If you'd like you could check out my new comic I Don't Want to be the Fat Kid It's a daily journal comic so I don't have time to do any of the coloring myself, it's all sketches. I'd LOVE to see you color something!

FYI I don't know if you checked out your remix yet, bt Tantz did a totally bang-up job

Your coloring is amazing, too good for us right now, but we'll keep you in mind when we do a book instead of a strip!
