Yesterday I tasted the crime of tuna and something-flavoured brie sandwich.

So, you know, care to share what YOU put on a sandwich?
Or what someone should never, ever use as a filling?

I love ham and cheese with chips. Yeah, like potato chips XD. It's really good! Before I tried it, I though it would be gross, but it's great. I like sausage, ham, or chicken sandwiches with boiled egg too.

I think we all know the answer to this one:
Vegemite.
Or what someone should never, ever use as a filling?
Similarly, we're all already aware:
Marmite.

You fiend!

This is simply proof of New Zealand's superior sense of taste. We (quite understandably) prefer a spread of black, salty, boiled up meat-paste to one of black, salty, boiled-up vegetables. Obviously.

Mind you, they both taste good with add potato chips. But I've never tried chips with ham and cheese - would it matter what flavour of chip you added in there?

Coconut Jam, especially the stuff that's locally made. It's nice and sweet, and doesn't look like paste. :)

Of course it's pretty hard to spread which is why I never refrigerate it. But when I do I stick it in the nuke oven for a few seconds before sandwiching it.

Slices of - no, I'm not even going to tell you what goes into my favourite sandwich - it's too bloodthirsty!

I'm pretty boring when it comes to sandwiches. :] However whenever I'm traveling and there's an M&S outlet, I'll pick up one of their brie, grape, and cranberry relish sandwiches. So yummy.

Please don't tell me. I'm having quiet fun trying to guess. :D

I'll have to try coconut jam now, if I ever find it somewhere. We don't have an M&S chain over here - what does that stand for, …'My Sandwich'? Sounds like a decent place - anywhere that sells cranberry with brie goes in my good book. :)

If you find yourself on Guam, check some of the stores here. You'll find a lot of it on the shelves. :)

Marks and Spencer, They're kind of an upscale grocery store in the UK. They have a lot of mini-shops in train stations and highway rest stop type areas ('welcome breaks') :]

Well, there's like, 3 I love.

1.) Roast beef and cheese on wheat. Colby cheese is nice.

2.) Toasted cheese sandwich (it's basically what grilled cheese would be like, minus the butter, and melted cheese *actually, if you put the cheese on soon enough after, the cheese will melt.*) Simple, but delicious.

3.) Apple butter sandwich. Just put that in two slices of bread. Om nom nom.

Never put mayonnaise or mustard in a sandwich. That is a fact.

urghh I hate both of them.

I never understood why peanut butter and jam sandwiches were so popular in the states. Such an odd combination was just beyond my comprehension. Then my wife who was from America made one for me.

Now I understand.

Oooh, so M&S is Marks and Spencer. I'll remember that. I think I must have walked past one when I was in the UK a year or so back.

steak-wich ftw!!!

As in just steak and bread? Wow. I've done that at BBQs and liked it then but never never thought to use it cold in a sandwich. :) Adding colby to beef/steak sounds like a winner. We have a grotty staffroom sandwich toaster that hasn't been cleaned in four months or so. Makes the best melted cheese toasties ever.

Actually, bologna doesn't sound bad. I'll have to see if they sell them at the local supermarket. I've tried PB&J - not bad but a little too sweet for me!

I think I can get a little more variety in my lunches now, haha. Thanks y'all!

Homemade spinach-artichoke hummus + cheese du jour + whatever veggies happen to be available. ^.^ Yum.

I also like homemade veggie burgers, especially when they have water chestnuts in 'em.

Heh, steak-wiches are the perfect end to a perfect day… Although I'd argue that mayo (which I used to hate!) provolone, ham, roast beef, and a sprinkling of shredded crispy lettuce with a side of ranch doritos is also pretty close :)

Can we throw bagels into this mix? A friend of mine introduced me to bacon and cream cheese…
So good I had to check to make sure I hadn't eaten my own fingers as well.

I'm a horribly picky eater, especially when it comes to things on bread. Most times I just hate the texture contrast between meat and a soft bun. It just…eugh. However, if I have meatballs and a roll, I'll eat the meatballs and take bites of the roll. I just can't put them together at the same time in a meatball sub. I'm horribly childish like that.

The only 2 sandwiches I have eaten are PB&J and a grilled-cheese sandwich…Ever.
