Thread "Spamtastic extravaganza" in forum "Comic Talk and General Discussion *"

Is my comic the only one being hit by spambots? And I'm not talking about beloved fellow comic author Spambot… These guys want to sell Viagara and Cialis and stuff. I keep reporting the comments, but I get new ones every couple of hours.

I myself have not gotten spammed up, but I know that CommaderChaos (Bowser's Plan B) gotten a bad case of it. Not sure but I think that DD can put an IP for recurring spammers.

Yours were the only ones I've seen in the comments lately.

It was using the same IP, so I went ahead and banned it. hopefully you won't get more.

I wasnâ€™t getting them on my DD comics, but we have been getting a bunch of them over on the RPC Forums.

Yeah, we were getting them in the DD forums a lot too, until we restricted the forum to registered users.

Now we just get actual people that like to spam instead of bots. But we take care of 'em pretty quick. :wink:

Thank you, Skoolmunkee! It seems to have worked, too. It was becoming quite an annoyance.
