OHMYGOD! Best. Wedding. Ever.
Constant food and drinking. Sushi bar! Hot dog bar! Open top shelf liquor bar! Like, scotch during a wedding? Yeah. Yeah we did. Middle of the reception, so goin' back… if there's no typos in this post… it's a miracle.

Today has been a very busy day. Yesterday, I went out to Hobby Lobby (local hobby store) and got a few art supplies. 2 portfolios, 1 copic sketch marker, 1 prismacolor marker, and a few microns.

I got the markers (both are shades of grey) to see if I'd like shading the comic with greyscale.

And it definitely turned out great. I have to go back to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to get more of the copic ones, so I can get different shades of grey. Needless to say, I'm excited.

Also finished the script to Part 1 of Chapter 2. Just gotta do thumbnails, sketches, and then finally draw the pages. :D

Doing a logo for a motorcross clothing line… I quoted the guy before I saw the artwork style he wanted. T_T
-Silly me thinking about the typical, simplified, stylised logo look… Noooooo. Wrong!

The style is heavy gothic decorative stuff. Takes ages to do. Lots of skulls, curly text, bleeding hearts, roses in blood… Reminds me of the stuff some kids were really into back in highschool. It was never my thing.

The whole motorcross art scene reminds me off late 80's skater art.
This project would be more suited to someone… younger.

I was talking to someone about nightmares a little while ago and it got me thinking about this nightmare thing I had when I was younger that still really, really scares me when I think about it. It was just so horrible because it didn't seem like a dream at all, and even though I know what happened couldn't really happen I've never been able to fully convince myself that it was. So now I'm all freaked out and everyone is asleep and I don't know where the dog is.

i had a strange dream, that it was the future, but all the technology was current.

it started i got orders to mildenhall (england). and for some reason, i got out of the military over there. and in order to get a job, i had to redo my senior year in the english school system. after i spent days getting lost in their massive school, i moved to super low income housing…and the gas stove was leaking, and no matter how i turned the knob, it kept coming out at teh same rate. then robots came by and started blowing up all the poor people. so i hid. and then i took on the leader. by swimming into his headquarters. i choked him till he passed out, and then we swam off. he had planted bugs on us. and then i woke up.

Earlier this morning, I went out to the local hobby store again, and got 3 more shades of grey in Copic Sketch Markers. I just got done shading 2 pages, it looks gorgeous! I need to get used to them though, because I think I may be pressing too hard.

At the moment, I'm drinking a Monster energy drink, because I'm kind of tired. I'm waiting for my best friend and his girl to come pick me up, so we can head to the mall. Then he's comin back to my place to chill.

Not sure if I said this in my last rant, but I got the first part of Chapter 2 scripted. Only 2 more parts to go!

And, no word of my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen. It's still processing :(

Edit: Nevermind, it's being packaged now!
Aw man, I hope I get it tomorrow! If not, then hopefully this week :D

HELP-

everytime i go to youtube, it says my flashplayer isnt installed. but i can watch the links people post. and it works in firefox. (i'm using IE7 by the way). and now it's spreading, i was watching some myspace videos, and then i clicked on one, and it gave the same error. (flashplayer is not installed get the newest update here).

i've checked my javascript, and it's enabled. this started happening, when i downloaded then deleted the IE8 beta. (btw, it's a resource hog, every time you open a new tab, it adds a new instance of IE, and uses about 64mb of memory per page)

Happens to me all the time. Uninstall and reinstall flash. Don't use their website either. Filehippo has a copy and I have better luck installing it.

Evidently cleaning your cookies breaks flash…so you have to reinstall it after cleaning.

I am so sick of Curious George!

Why do you have to watch it? Kids?

I made a deal with my dad that if he went vegetarian I would cook dinner once a week, and he agreed. He thinks animal cruelty is wrong, so I don't really know why he wasn't already, but it makes me feel good that I've helped to prevent a few more animals from being killed.
Also, I made dinner tonight and it was really good. That was unexpected. It was a red lentil pasta thingy from a little recipe book I got at a stoner store. :D Even my 9-year-old sister ate it.

i'm thinking about doing more martial arts. TKD is becoming not so much a workout anymore…as my body is becoming immune to that specific work out, and i dont want to stop it.

I hate animal cruelty to cats dogs and some chickens, everything else shall be consumed by my carnivorous apathy.

I didn't go to school today, le sigh. Some times i wonder if college is right for me, i love learning and hate working- but idk i just can't get in the groove.

I may have possibly found a co-writer for my second comic so that's a plus-i like one of his other ideas too but working on 3 comics would just keel me.

I had one bit of fun though; Designing a logo for a real eastate action place. I changed the gavel (hammer) symbol into a hammer and sickle, because you know; all property is theft ;)

A question for those who already live in the world of grownups:

Is adult life nothing but working your butt off to make a living, and not really relaxing even when you are doing nothing, because you're too busy thinking about all the crap you could, should and need to be doing?

Because I'm wondering if I'm supposed to be constantly worried about making a living and the stuff I'm supposed to be getting done or if I just have issues with turning it off. It really doesn't seem right to spend one's entire working life worrying about crap that probably isn't even important in the end. I'd like to think that a normal human being should be able to take a day off and laze around in bed or go hiking and not feel like a total blow off slacker.

Maybe I have unrealistic expectations about life?

That's about the size of it I'm afraid.

I'd like to think that a normal human being should be able to take a day off and laze around in bed or go hiking and not feel like a total blow off slacker.

Unfortunately that's reserved for kids, the wealthy, or the unemployed… old people too I suppose.

For the rest of us we just wait till our holidays.

There's always the weekend though! :)

Spent the afternoon sword shopping…

Walking all over town looking for a nice sabre, and would you believe it? All that's around are silly big fantasy swords and common as anything Katana. Jeebus. And to top it all off my fave sword shop has closed down. So, I'll have to check the phone book etc, I already checked online and there's some good stuff but mostly crap.

So I got all hot and sweaty from walking all over the city. How annoying!

I'm a little confused on a supposed error on my comic page.(Sorry if this posts comes off as self-advertising, it's not meant to be.)

Jack says to Topaz that he will have to stay in a certain room when the sun's out, and Topaz asks him if he can't go out in the daytime anymore (due to being a newly changed vampire), Jack responds with "Not unless you want fried."

A couple of people said "Not unless you want fried." doesn't make sense and should be changed to "Not unless you want TO BE fried." I have no problem with editing the page, I'll probably do it anyway, I just thought the statement, while blunt and rather slangy, was still a legit statement and didn't have anything wrong with it…

Or do I just talk weird in real life? =/ I never thought there be' somethin' wrong with mah Englishin'.

Sorry SarahN, I'm afraid that's pretty weird English. :] There are some verbs you can use that pattern with, but those developed out of colloquial use (and wouldn't be considered good English anyawy)…

Iba- Sounds like you already know the important parts, if you know that, then you're not trapped in it. And hey, that's what stuff like weekends and personal days are for (and some companies have even switched to 4-day work weeks)
