Unless there was some disguised insult in Humorman's rectangle comment I don't really get what the big deal is….
I edited it. Remember the Top Drawer and the sorts of things people did there?
it was basically the made up scenario about the rectangle and then NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in size 50 font.

Do we want to start another TD trend of people bombing threads with that sort of stuff? ;)

Made up?

A lot of people have rectangular tiles in their bathroom, and I'm pretty sure they step on them frequently. Also, I made sure that the "NO!!!" didn't extend the margins of the page, and I'm pretty sure several other people write with large-sized text.

I mean, it's not like I'm posting "I am in control," in every topic or something like that. Now, that would be a real nuisance.

Today's gonna be a good day. I can just tell.
How do I know?
Well, usually when I wake up, I'm all cranky and tired. I woke up today, tired, but not cranky. I had my cup of coffee like I do every morning, and woke right up! :D (I know coffee is supposed to do that, but as of lately, it hasn't really been doing it's job)

I told you, it's the working out. I actually weighed myself this morning, apparently I lost like about 3 or 4 pounds in like, a day or two. I'm eating right and everything too, so I must be doing something right! lol!

So now, I'm going to depart for school with my over-sized hoodie (it's actually my brother's old hoodie. He used to be a bit bigger), and the pants with a whole in the back. Haha.

I didn't get any drawing done yesterday, but it's all good. It's Friday, which means I have tonight to get a page or so done. I just get this REALLY good feeling about drawing my comic now, because it's actually getting into the story, and after drawing Chapter 1 for so long…it feels so weird.

I wish I could just replace the nib, but I couldn't seem to get those over here.
Order it online from a Wacom supplier in your country. The Wacom site has a list of retailers by country on their site. It's very useful. Igot a lot of replacement nibs from there- lot cheaper than a whole new pen!
Your dad or mum can use their credit card to buy it for you and you can pay them back :)

That's what I did…I checked an insane amount of sites for nibs that I could get in Canada. You can't really buy the accessories in stores here…I went to tons of those, too. I even talked to one website over the phone and they said they could order them specially, but then they never sent the email I was supposed to get from them. So I just got fed up and replaced the whole thing. I'm only willing to put up with a wonky pen for so long.

Back in highschool I had a hooded top or two… Only the surfies or the skaters wore them then. But you NEVER wore the hood then (not where anyone could see). Heh. That was just the thing- you had a hood on them, but you never put in on your head because you looked like a bit of a noddy.

…But something happened over the years. When they came back in fashion people were wearing the hoods up. They still looked like noddies, but they just couldn't see it.

It's like people used to only type "lol" but when something was funny, they would actually laugh. Now they say "Lol", Which is interesting. That initialisim has become an actual word for mirth. I wonder if that will stick.
On one level I think that's silly, but on another I know it's just the process of language change in action.
——————-

Ryu, I tend to think in Kilograms… but I don't know about big weight loss in a day. I know weight naturally fluctuates, so you're probably better off weighing yourself every day for a month and seeing how things really change over the course of that time so you can see the error margin: i.e. weight that will be gained or lost through natural processes and is not affected by whatever you do to change the rest.
Just to make sure.
That way you won't slack off if you think you're doing better than you thought, or feel bad when you do worse than you thought.

Ah-ha!
Well the only other thing then (next time) is trying in another country- the U.S.would be a good one.

Oh no, I gota better one:
Ebay! :)

I fucking hate those food dreams where you're eating things…

I always wake up with an craving for the damn food that I was dreaming about the first place.

The weird thing about the dream… I was eating pancakes and sausage in the bathroom for some reason.

the tub was filled with melted butter and maple syrup, which I was soaking in. and I had those piles of pancakes and sausages next to the tub, which I would pick up with a fork and then dip them into the tub of syrup and butter.. and then just eat.

I just kept on eating in that fashion, until I woke up with the urgency that I SHOULD eat pancakes and stuff. so I went out at 8 am to the store to get a box of Bisquick, since how I didn't have that pancake mix on hand this morning. -_-

Ewwwwwww >.<

The trouble is though that you can't crap out fat…
Although you can crap out so much of the intake you need to survive that the body will start to have to feed on that fat… But all your muscles will waste too then since in survival mode fat is more important :(

…Pooping to death. Ewwwww >_<
pancake mix
For me I always use 1 egg, one cup of self raising flour, and one cup of milk.
-Simple :)

It makes pancakes just exactly the way I like 'em!

unfortunately, I didn't have flour on hand, due to the fact that I ran out of it when I was making cookies last month. so… :-\ ah well.

Damn wet weather. My arthritis? is flaring again. I used a question mark cause it is still uncertain rather I have arthritis or not. At the very least, I have tendinitis.

Ooh. Feel ya on the arthritis (?) thing. Curse of most of my days, it is. I know it's more because of years of abusing my hands- carving lino and woodcuts without taking proper breaks when I ought to have, mostly. Now I'm lucky if on a good day, I can work for 45 minutes without a break.

So I responded to some dude's commission request- $250 for 8 pages. I don't think anything will come of it, but all he said was he wanted someone who could do fairly realistic human proportions, which I can. We'll see. Not sure if it's the best deal in the world, but it's supposed to be cash front, and I need money like nobody's business, I do.

Shiiiiiit, I lost my glasses. This is a big deal for me, because I'm pretty much blind without them. It makes them almost impossible to find, as well.

I should probably get off the computer, I need to keep my face nearly touching the screen to make anything out and that's the kind of thing that so utterly knackered my vision in the first place.

Clearly you have never known someone who is serious into Atkins, because whatever they are crapping out, it is godawful and the smell clings to them all day.

Just make sure he doesn't get all shitty and start asking for a bunch of changes and stuff!

I'm not sure how I am getting these confused, but I can't tell whether I'm hungry or if I have a headache.

The phone rings and it is what I dread. My supervisor asking for overtime. I hate these people. And he wanted me to change shifts for Sunday? Nope. I don't give up my shift for anyone. Oh yeah, I come home at 8Am and go back at 4pm? Does he want an employee or a zombie?

Oh, for real! In my experience, almost everyone I've dealt with doing commissions or stuff like that: a) are flaky and unprofessional, and prone to backing out at the last minute or deciding to make drastic revisions/additions half-way through the project b)have utterly unrealistic expectations for the amount of work they ought to receive for the amount of money they're paying. huh!?

My nose was just brutally raped. I had to do room inspections of my floor. There was one room that I was dreading the whole time. It used to be the room of a neat freak and a slob. But the neat freak has moved out (and took her cleaning supplies with her). The room was so rank, I quickly retreated and filled out the forms in the clean air of the hall. My nose hurt from clenching it shut and it smelled so bad I couldn't even breath trough my mouth. I ran into my room and just started spraying my air freshener randomly. My room doesn't stink, but the smell of that other room's smell was clinging to my nostrils so I though Oust would banish it. My nose can smell again, but it still hurts.

I'm the graphic designer at my work… I deal with flake on a permenant basis -_-
I like the way they handle jobs there though: $60 an hour for artwork and $60 more for each and every change.
But then this is dealing with businesses with marketing budgets, not just individuals so the money doesn't mean that much to them… So they STILL make lots of changes! (generally the "artwork" is pretty basic crappy line art in Illustrator)

Doesn't mater to me though, I'm there for my hours either working or lazing around. I still get paid either way, even when I'm doing nothing.

Pen nibs:
I'll be really fucked once my pen goes bad. Why? Cause Wacom never did sell any nibs to Volito tablets, and since they discontinued the line, they're not making any. So stores that have the pens charge 50-70$ for them. I think I could buy a Bamboo for this much but I think they're designed for Vista, so who knows how it'd work under XP :P

Weight loss:
Starve yourself, that always works. :D
Seriously though, I actually did that by accident some years ago. See, I screwed up something with documents or somesuch (can't remember) and as a result I didn't have ANY money for several months. Result? I could only eat something whenever one of my friends brought me something, which usually happened once every two days. So I just drank loads of tea.

After first few days my stomach got used to lower food intake and stopped demanding food, instead it started consuming the fat resources that I had on my body (was a bit overweight). Now, I don't know how much I weighted at that point, but my waist went from 96 to 66cm in a couple months (that's about 12inch).

I know I was lucky there. Rather than just lose weight (and feel better overall) I might have just as well crash my system and land in the hospital with malnutrition or something.

writing:
I haven't written any actual pages yesterday (or today but the night is young, and in fact, it is barely getting dark outside), but I did some outline rethinking etc.
Right now I am pretty sure Amen City Chronicles will be 15 volumes total. So I really have to get busy with writing and drawing so that I can finish the book in couple of years and not decades (if I do it daily it'll still take five years to serialize online… argh, what the hell am I getting myself into).

Pen nibs:
Try e-bay man.
Normal Wacom nibs would probably work anyway, since I know from experience that nibs are interchangeable between the different Graphire version, Intuous ,and the Cintiq.

Easy peasy. :)

Plus, you can get a whole new Volito tablet cheap on e-bay.

I don't think volito pens have the ability to exchange the nib (and wacom NEVER sold nibs, only replacement pens, probably yo keep the thing cheap).

I might have to go with ebay someday… but I need some decent cash flow first, there's too much things to be bought from there that I might get into debt :P

If I like it, I want it :D

Thanks for the tip ozone! I'll be sure to try that out! :)

So far, so good on the diet thing. I should probably eat something though. Considering I only ate breakfast (actually, just a cup of coffee) and a sandwich and a powerbar. that's it. Maybe I should make a sandwich or something…meh.

But anyway, Chapter 2 is coming along FANTASTICALLY. I got a 100% on my Algebra test today. We have to get 70% to pass. Funny thing is, I've failed Algebra 3 times (twice Freshman year, and once this year), and I've passed EVERY single test now. I think this is the first time I've started caring about my grades. I've never gotten a hundred percent before! Well, in Algebra/math anyway.

But overall, today was a great day. I'm in such a good mood. I need to go do my workout soon though, cuz it's alrady 6:45. But I want to finish penciling this page first! :3

And of course, I talked to more cute girls today. 8D
Seems like I'm having a LOT better luck with girls this year, than last year. Last year was absolutely terrible. But this year, it's like, "Hey ladies, what's goin on?" and then we actually talk. Then I say something that's funny, and they laugh and smile and stuff. :D

Oh, and that never used to happen, by the way. They used to just look at me like I was stupid.

I just had a nap. It was the weirdest thing. I was watching Mythbusters which we had rented on my own and just fell asleep. I haven't had a nap since…well, ever. Even when I was in preschool I would stay awake during naptime. And it's only 6pm. Maybe I've been staying up too late or something.
