I am indeed counted among the foulest specimens of humanity. >:)
Insomnia, and I'm up watching some documentary about the Columbine shootings. I was like, "Oh, that was ten years ago yesterday, wasn't it- wait. Ten years ago? WTF!" I should turn it off and draw or something, though. That crap just makes me mad.

When I left university O was a bit like that, it was great! :)
But I hated my hair dreading… Not because I cared how it looked, but because when I DID have to brush it and comb it, it'd be a horrible, horrible experience. :(
And then I just liked being clean, not having greasy hair, smelling good etc.
When I'm at home on holiday I relax it a bit but still keep it up.

Ok, so I took the new sword out of its oily plastic wrapper. It's very long and wieghted much more tword the blade than the other sabre. I'll need a heavy sword knot to counter it. They say the Indian made swords are better quality than the Chinese made ones, but the only thing that was better done was the finishing off the brass hilt. Overall I think the Chinese made one is better quality.
Not that it matters much, it's not like I ever want to use them! If I did I'd get a nice versatile Katana, which is much easier to use than a sabre.- you can use two hands if you like, there's no huge guard or quillions to get in the way of movement, the longer hilt means more even balancing, etc.
No, they're costume swords for my hussar gear…
WHenever I get it! Grr… they're still making it :(
About bad hygiene: I'm not really sure how some of you can do it! I hate not taking showers daily, putting deodorant on, blah blah blah. If I don't, I'll spend the rest of the day smelly, and feeling like crap. But as soon as I take a shower, it's like clockwork, "BAM!" instant happiness.
And yesterday, when I ran ya know? I woke up just not too long ago, and felt sore in places I did not know I would feel sore (around my waist area), but I've been doing more and more sit-ups for warm-ups. And my legs are a little sore too. Which is good. Which means I'll be in a good mood today. Doesn't make sense, does it?
Well, feeling sore gives me a sense of accomplishment. If I weren't to have felt sore, then I might be in a bad mood, because I would know I didn't truly get a good workout.
I could have probably pushed myself more yesterday, but I didn't feel like it. It was Monday.
Oh yes, and I'm very excited. My chin beard (not sure what else to call it) is coming in quite nicely. I've always wanted one, and now I'm like 8D.
And apparently people can tell how much I'm changing by my working out.
So, I'd best be off. Hope you all have a great day.
:]

Makes you wonder how they ever made them all when there were over a dozen regiments of Hussars riding around. By the way, a hussar sabre is designed to use from horseback. The weight toward the blade helps to tilt the sword forward in like it's supposed to be held in the charge. The really cool part is that when it cuts through something at the charge how much that heavy blade flexes up and down.
Imagine if you had the Heavy cavalry sabre like the butcher's blade used by Sharpe! It killed my shoulder the one time I handled one. The weight is better distributed when handling a musket and bayonet. But a musket and bayonet is more like handling a SAW or M60 light mg than a modern battle rifle.
Okay, so I built four models of WWI tanks rather than shoot any more pictures and lost a major part of one (A mark IV female, I lost a machine gun sponson. How could it disappear? It's not like it's small.) So there'll only be three.
Meanwhile the figures stare at me and ask when I'm shooting the next scene… still trying to figure out what furniture to use. I've done too many scenes with characters standing around. But where should I have them sitting? *grumble* Ambles off to look through furniture collections again… Marble? Wood? House furniture? A couch? Chairs? Ahhhh! Maybe a bathroom with a flush toilet… lol!
The lighter, slightly smaller sabre is a cavalry sabre, while the bigger, heavier one is an artilleryman's sabre. The weight distribution means it can't hang properly from its straps when being worn. :(
-tilts the wrong way because there's not not quite enough hilt weight for it to swing right from the hangers. So that's the main reason that I need a god counter. I don't want to have to readjust the straps each time I try a different sword. :)
Sharpe gets a big classic "Blucher" style sabre in the first episode, then suddenly a few episodes later it's a long straight sword, with a big wide chopper blade in a leather scabbard! And his dolmen is obviously different, not just repaired slightly, and yet the left elbow is ripped in the same place and the button lace on his left top shoulder is still missing.
Heh, I'm wanting my own so much I'm owning his by proxy! lol!
-Also, in the episode the French major gets him framed for murder that say an "English officer with a straight sword" entered the Marquis's tent… he still had a sabre then!
I know that's dorky, but bugger it, it's what I'm into right now!

Oooh, finished wrapping the smaller sabre's hilt with leather and brass wire. Looks flashy now, like the big one ^___^
Argggh…. I feel ill. I posted a new page last night to display today. Page 25 of the story I'm working on. I checked it about 30 minutes ago to see if I had any comments. It did… a dozen or so and I realized I had accidently re-posted page 3 and not 25!! And the unfortunate thing is that it's a page where the character wakes up, so it looks like the story to this point has been a dream… doh. It's fixed now but I'm hoping I don't end up losing any of my limited readers :(
Wow. Ozone. I look at you and realize, I'm not really devoted enough to my hobbies…or I need better hobbies. It's just that when something takes my fancy, I tend to go all the way.
The amount of money I spent on battleship books when I started Pinky TA… gah! Books about tanks, technical books about Hind Helicopters, a battleship model, the exact pair if army boots, etc. etc… And then there's the piles of research pics and videos I get off the net when I'm interested in something for my comic.
Very, very focussed. :)
RE: Maniacal hobbies:
I'm the same way. I tend to fixate on one thing, and devote all my time and energy to it. Even if I'm just making, like, one print- I'll spend weeks looking at resource material and reading books, articles, scholarly papers… I'm unfortunately gonna have to do months of that kinda crap for "My Next Big Comic!", but hopefully I'll be back in New Orleans by then, and have access to all the huge Uni libraries there. :D
RE: Hair dreading:
Oh, God. Sometimes it takes me two different hour-long sessions to get the rats out of my hair. That's how I ended up with the gutterdreads back in the day- I waited too long to wash it one time, and decided to just roll with it instead of do the extensive detangling routine. They looked terrible. I still have 'em in a box somewhere. Someday I'm-a use 'em in a sculpture. (I've been saying this for 5 years!)
Its amazing how the Japanese superheroes instinctively know what words to shout and what weapons they have.
Just watched a few episodes of Kamen Rider Black and Cutie Honey. Nobody taught em how to fight and how to use their weapons and how to transform. They just know everything from day one!!! lol!
How does that work? Do they download the information into their heads like the Matrix (Neo says "I know kung fu!!!)? Or do they access the information from the Akashic records through their "higher selves"?
How exactly?
I just want to say The Duck is an amazing community.
I appreciate all the support people have been given to the relauch of my comic bloodhound. I'm amazed by the number of comments and the variety of them that have been left.
Thank you everyone and I hope people continue to enjoy the story as it is told. :)

Thanks… it's nice to have your support as always :D I guess my fear was that people would think the story over with that page. Although seems like most of my regulars are back. :D Gotta hang on to the dozen or so I have!
Digging your new avatar by the way… Niccea in a box :D

So I most definitely figured out how to make small parts of a larger image into links with dreamweaver today. It was an experiment, and also an assignment, kinda.
So I shall start making my new layout now.
Okay. I can do this.
I think.
Oh, and I talked more to that one girl today. It was good fun. I tried adding her on Myspace, and I don't know her last name, so I messaged her, and she only receives messages from friends.
So I'm screwed, and whatnot.
Ah well.
Edit: Oh god. I just failed. My post number is 666.

Aw, man- I was bummed on account of I totally didn't catch my #666 post. So I'm watchin' my comments real careful like… gonna do somethin' special for the "poster of the beast!" >:) *Cue Iron Maiden* \m/
i love the warm weather. open the moon roof, drop the windows, and drive like a highschooler.

dang it…stupid history of the air force…been studying for a month, and i'm just now getting to wwII. and this has only been the enlisted side. i still have 2k more questions not involving the history to review, and my test date is <30 days away. yikes. score high to get the next rank. that's what i'm aiming for.
lolaim highlol
I just looked at my schedule for the next week. 3 apartments to look at, 12 job applications to fill out and hand over, and it's the second to last week of school. Guess who gets to pull repeated all nighters? Me. \o/
This is going to be a lot of fun. In the sense that I'm pretty sure by the end of the week I will no longer be able to function as a human being and I get to look at all the weird stuff and pretty colours being that tired entitles you to. Who wants more squid camel?
I'm thinking of getting a secondary hard drive, because this one fills up faster than I can clean it out. What the hell is taking up all this room? I've deleted everything I'm willing to part with, and quite a bit of stuff I'm not willing to part with, and it still filled up again almost immediately.
Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

SQUID CAMEL!
Wow. What luck? I won't be able to update my comic on Thursday because my laptop charger refuses to work, and now I have to get a new one. I would have thought it was my laptop itself, but the green light on the charger is always on if it's plugged in, and it's not on. I've tried everything.
Oh, and all of my files were on my laptop, and it won't stay on long enough for me to grab them and put them on another computer. Such as the one I'm using now.
:|

…
You do video work right? Storing big preview files etc on your hard drive?
Reduce the size of your caches for your browsers and Flash. Get rid of files in temp folders.
-Those can all be hidden constant sources of bloat…
Geez, comic work is addictive. I told myself I would come home, finish inking one page and then finish my essay(which is due tomorrow). Then it became finish that page, then the essay. Now it's finish that page and colour another and then the essay. :( I swear after this one I'm going to do it, though!
