You do video work right? Storing big preview files etc on your hard drive?
Reduce the size of your caches for your browsers and Flash. Get rid of files in temp folders.

I save most of my work on two external hard drives, except really important ones such as course work, which gets saved on any storage device I have (I'm not paranoid at all, no). The thing is, I started doing this in response to my hard drive filling up, I even moved all of my music to the external drives (which makes actually listening to it an enormous pain in the arse). Temp files can't be causing that much trouble, can they?

Today i really craved an ultimate cheeseburger from jack in the box, but instead i had a double crunch sandwich as kfc, cut the calories in half :P I also had v8 fruit juice instead of a coke GO SKULLPEEEEE

Heh, I've heard Skool and Spang and BK and Ronson and Volte6 and the old plat bosses quite a bit. They all have better voices than me and a better manner when speaking online. I just giggle and swear a lot. Ronson has a good radio manner, very adult and very engaging, sounds like your best friend. Spang sounds like a radio pro, simple as that, a real DJ. BK is a lot of fun, she's very bubbly, chirpy, and full of life. Skool is more subdued and serious sounding when I've head her, with a lower voice, very calm and intelligent.

Temp files can't be causing that much trouble, can they?

It depends Custard old man. Check the size of the buggers.
I especially love the hidden ones in the user configuration folders, not to mention hidden ones deep down in the Windows directories.

And Flash can be set to take up a few gigs of space for its storage sometimes. The same with browser caches- comes of doing that "percentage" of the drive thing. I wouldn't worry about that with my main home comp and it's big drives, but my comp at work isn't so roomy and I'm always having to economise about the place.

With the Flash thing, I know the files can get really massive if you have music in them with the source on your computer itself. We're always told to host the music on a website in my classes to avoid that. I don't know a lot about flash truthfully, but I do know that the couple times I tried to just use a mp3 off my hard drive it sucked up the 4 gigs they give us on the school computers.

Eh…i just realized how horribly horribly behind i am on my schoolwork…even worse is i'm just reading manga and browsing the net nearly the whole time i had to do all that work…what the fuck happened to me -_- i was always kind of nerdy but this is just…goddamnit

Yeah, and are you really sure you got all the temporary preview files you video programs make?
I remember when I was doing a lot of video editing in uni, the editing program had to have a lot of space to host the intermediary files- not just the finished vid files that you see later after rendering them…

Anybody else think DD's been slow lately? Maybe it's finals/ end o' the semester stuff, eh?

Speakin' of papers and deadlines and stuff- my partner seems to have completely quit workin' on his thesis, which is already past due. WTF? I would've had that crap done like, months ago, if it were me. I don't get it. Anxiety and frustration and yeah, whatever- just get your stuff done. I think an MFA is a little bit more important that frickin' "Call of Duty", m'kay? I ought to have more empathy, but I don't.

I did not know about those. Right, I'd better hunt those down. I'll have plenty of time, since I went and fell asleep at noon again so I'll be awake all night. I'm such an idiot.

Oh well. At least I found out why Maya stopped working. Turns out I moved the licence folder thing, because I didn't know what it was at the time and it didn't seem like it was doing anything important. Or anything at all.

I haven't slept for nearly 2 days now. And I've been trying very hard to get some sleep. Nothing's working for me. Warm milk, reading books, counting sheep, goats, and even drunkducks… I should go see a doctor about this. Not sleeping for this long and not feeling tired just isn't normal.

Claritin doesn't work for me. It never has. Fortunately, I have had any allergy problems in three years. (The same amount of time I've moved out of my house.) I might be allergic to my family…or maybe it is just the cats.

My laptop is giving me hell. There is probably something wrong with the power cord. Every once in a while, my laptop will tell me that it is not connected (even though it is). Before, I would just have to twist the connection and the power would be restored. Now…not so much. My computer beeps at me every time is is connected or disconnected. So when I'm trying to correct the problem I hear "Beep." Many times my computer will beep back on and when I settle, it beeps off.

Dad says I just need to clean out the female part of the connection. But I don't have the supplies so I have to put up with the incessant beeping until I can get supplies or get back home.
