I replied to life with dragons and FF goes bonkers, makes itself look like an error window from the clock telling me that there could be errors on my drive, would I like to install something called error safe then after I puzzle it out, realizing it was an ad and click cancel, it hijacks my browser and sends me to this page http://errorsafe.com/download/2007/index.php?lid=intl&ax=1&ex=1&p=2&aid=rulefarm_mrt_us_en_ed2 I didn't know that the ads on DD was allowed to do that, what if I had just arrived at LWD? Or heaven forbid if someone who didnt know what was going on clicked yes and it turned out to be a scam program? I don't mind ads on DD, don't get me wrong but when they rudely interrupt my reading like that, I'd say they're going too far

then, to top it off it windows and tried to force me to install it jeeze!

no matter which you click it forces it upon you :(

I recommend getting adblock… it gets rid of all those pesky adds with one click

Could it be a new ad system? Happened to me as well.

Really????? That's pretty bad. That's pretty, pretty, prettttttty bad… I'll do what I can to look into it :(

-edit-
When does it happen????? When you comment on a page or just load a comic?????? Please, everyone describe how it happened, what ads were in the top ad bar? What browsers where you all using?

I was just scrolling down the page to see my comments and BAM! There it was.
I had just looked at it a moment earlier and nothing had happened.

(I use IE, btw. ^^)

I had this one like that, but instead it was something about deleting history on your browser. It was like "We have records of all adult porn sites you have been on and we can clear the traces from your computer if you click here." And i was like, " Lol! I don't have any porn," so I didn't click it

I have also seen the adds mentioned above. I saw them when i was going to click the next page button.

Hmm… I've tried a lot of different DD comics and I just can't get this ad to come up… I'll try going through my own archives.
It's probably tied to some specific random ad that comes up in the top spot or the one under your comic page. either way that sort of thing is BAD.

that's funny.
i just got three of those and i use mozilla…

the add actually redirects you randomly to another page. you have to press the back button to get to where you were. funny…

3??? Jeepers… Maybe it's because I use all sorts of popup blocking, java popup blocking, and flash blocking tricks that none of them get me? Could be STill, that's evil. This stuff ALWAYS happens on a weekend when Volte6's not around :(

it hasnt happened since that one time, course I havent really been reading many archives, it appears to be random, disable your blockers and try going through a huge comic, ozoneocean (i forgot about this post unil I was looking at my own profile) I agree it's very evil, some new pc user could happen on it and download the file, who knows what the heck it would install, trojan, virus, worm, spyware spamware *shudder*

It could just be spyware already on your computer, I had a similar problem with something called Winfixer or something.
Try getting a good (and trustworthy! lol!) antispyware program and see if that fixes it.
