Will you be doing Holiday themed stories, this year?

I have been diligently working on my Christmas story, I am almost finished (three more pages). I also have a Haloweenish, type story coming out around Haloween.

How many of you try to write around the holidays? This is new to me, as my print stuff came out more sporadically than my very regular webcomics.

Inquiring minds…

My comic is on its own calendar, so the holiday stories are not posted in the right RL season. I've done a Halloween, Valentine's, and Christmas story. I might do more. (I probably will. Holidays do have impact, and my comic is based in a real world setting.)

I was thinking about it. I have a xmas story in mind that should actually fit in nicely into the plot. I'm just wondering if I'll make it in time, since it does take a while to do a page.

Halloween would be fun, too. Maybe next year?

I got some good stuff in store for holiday season. I got a lot of Halloween stories going on in penis and a few regular pages of penis going on too. Thats the cool thing about daily updates you have room to do a lot of stuff. I think my Vampire story may be the craziest one yet.

I am currently trying to write a chirstmas mini-chapter for Valhalla my newest comic. But it's kinda hard to come up with something for a Halo themed machinacomic.

"Hey, Master Cheif! I got you what you always wanted!"

"What is it?"

"A plasma grenade!"

*Throws onto face*

"Oh, you. You're so sill-"

*BOOM*

I would like to do something, but I'm afraid that I have no time for it. ;_;

"whore" will have a Christmas day strip, but it won't be heartwarming.

My holiday stuff continues again tomorrow, in what could be the absolute greatest page I've ever made.

There once was a ShyGuy, all dressed in red,
with thoughts of Christmas in his head.
He saw Mario that night,
beneath the starlight,
and now the poor ShyGuy is dead

No, I won't. Not only is there absolutely no way to squeeze it into my strip in-canon (none of the characters even know what Christmas/Halloween is, much less celebrate it, and I'm not willing to interrupt the flow of the story for an "aside" ), I'm not a big fan of holiday themed comics anyway. : (

Not for me! No Christmas in the world of my comic. May change though, Christmas is magical! (and so are all the other holidays)

and I'm not willing to interrupt the flow of the story for an "aside"
~My Halloween story arc was a costume party that ended up in a violent fight from tensions that were building for some time.
~The Christmas story was about one character wrestling with her fear over her psycho ex-husband stalking her, while she systematically cut off ties with her friends.
~My Valentine story involved a savage beating and several murders.

They were part of the flow, not an aside from it. In fact, all three were very significant parts of the overarching story line and character development. They just happened to take place during those time periods, so I got to put them in costumes, throw in some candy and cards, etc. ;)

I wasn't saying every holiday themed arc was an aside…

I meant, in order for me to put one into my particular comic, it would have to be an aside, because there would be no way for me to make it canon. If it fits in as part of the story, that's fine. I just don't really care for them when they interrupt the main story.

lol. Yeah. Holiday themes/settings shouldn't be "forced" into story comics. (Works fine in strips.) I like using holiday settings now and then because they can amplify emotions and provide an interesting backdrop. That is also the case with weddings, festivals, rituals, etc. In a world without "holidays," celebrations and rituals still make for good settings/arcs.

I never do. My comic also doesn't follow seasons, either.

Would you consider the Star Wars Holiday special canon?

Chewbaccas planet has showed up again in star wars, so it must be canon.
