Lets face it, there are only three things that can wipe out the human race.

1. The Undead
2. A Robot Uprising
3. An Invasion of Bug Like Aliens

So the Zerg/Xenomorphs/Bugs invade, humanity turns on their push button army of terminator/screamer/killer robots, give them guns, and ask them nicely to kill the aliens. The robots, being robots, naturally decided to kill all the humans instead. Then to cap off an already great day humanity gets some sort of killer plague from the aliens that for some reasons turns humans into horrible zombies.

So now that humanity undead a gone who wins the battle for planet earth? The aliens? The Undead? Or the Robots?

I say robots.

They can always build more dangerous robots. At one point the Aliens might leave and the undead die by chainsaw.

Robots are cooler, so they'll win.
Plus, like Priest says, they can build badder, meaner, more dangerous beasties. And their resources are greater. Aliens have to rely on what they bring with them, as well as reproduction which is slow compared to the other two. Zombies have to rely on the amount of serviceable corpses; a dwindling commodity since the human races was wiped out, and the aliens would only supply a similarly limited amount of material for their needs.

While the machines can keep going! "Robots" are basically a misnomer though, what people really mean is "electronically controlled, autonomous machines". Presumably if they betrayed and killed the humans they must be thinking with ambitions and goals, at least in a limited sense… But being machines with superior abilities and adaptability, they can probably take control of mining gear, refineries, and factories, "robotosise" the machinery and reproduce on a massive scale.

I beg to differ.

You forgot
4.sudden Pole Shift—resulting in Massive Tsunamis and EarthQuakes and sudden global Climate Change and Terrible Volcanic Eruptions that would blacken the sky and all life would die or be set back to the stone age.

5. Deadly Micro Viruses—like the Black Plague that wiped out most of asia Europe and the middle east in all of a few years…the sick sad fact is that Cold War science has made even more effective bugs that even now sleep in test tubes in locked down containment government facilities. More agressive flesh eating varieties that even now sleep and await to devastate what ever it infects.
the good News… :) sometimes these deadly viruses are so agressive that they destroy thier food supply and die out after a few months. the bad news…you are the food supply.

6. Ahhh lets Not forget about My Favorite…
GLOBAL THERMAL NUCLEAR WAR.
Absolute Planetary Devastation in just under 30 minutes!
yes folks in the time it takes for one sit com, your world could be engulfed in a molten Fire Ball of Nuclear Destruction decimateing all in its path.

7. Large space debris impact with planet Earth.
resulting in Massive Tsunamis and EarthQuakes and sudden global Climate Change and Terrible Volcanic Eruptions that would blacken the sky and all life would die or be set back to the stone age.
also you get the Bonus molten Fire Ball of Destruction with the sudden Impact.

;) Have a Nice Day.

I'm thinking maybe the aliens would just shade it.

Sooner or later, the robots are going to run out of batteries. Even those on Duracells. The zombies, on the other hand, are just going to die out once the last human brain has been eaten. The aliens therefore win by default.

It's a "last man standing" kind of thing.

No way man! Why do they need batteries? They can do fine with the electric plants, refineries, mining more coal and uranium. They're machines, simple entities with simple needs and a whole planet full of resources that are exactly to their requirements. The aliens are limited to what they bought and a planet that they have to adapt to, let alone that they're much more complex entities- prone to failure through fatigue, sickness, and death. Let alone disagreements and falling outs. The machines are dedicated to their on purpose and eminently repairable.

We can forget the zombies as a joke, since as you say, brains will run out fast and they'd be useless against the machines anyway, which is another reason the aliens will lose since they're the only target the zombies can usefully attack ;)

Nah humans always survive these thanks to their fall out shelters left over from the 60's. After a while they come back out and start searching for the "promised land".

There are always isolated tribes & people whom are magically immune. Most disease that deadly burn themselves out once the population centers are gone.

We all know that nuclear war doesn't kill nearly as many people as it turns into mutants.

If Bruce Willis can blow these things up I'm sure as long as we have Chuck Noris around we'll be fine. Worst case scenario we can always send in Harrison Ford and Arrowsmith if need me. Besides there hasn't been a big impact like that in millions of years, so what is the big deal? Just relax, we are prefectly safe as long as Zombies, Robots or Aliens don't attack.

I just hope someone doesn't find a way to make any alien robot zombies 'cause then we would be doomed for sure. Doomed I say!

Robots… because the aliens (if they were like Zenomorphs from Alien) wouldn't be able to face-rape/chest-burst them, and the robots would pewpew them with their lasers, just as they'd pewpew the zombies. The aliens might be able to face-rape/chest burst the zombies, resulting in some zombaliens which would be cool, but I don't think those count for this debate. Zombies don't stand a chance against either of them, unless they're sentient for some reason and can pick up guns and fight the aliens and robots. Poor zombies. ;_;

Aliens

While the zombies are fighting the robots, the aliens are watching from above in their spaceships. If the robots for some reason win, then the aliens can create elctro magnetic pulses from their flying saucers and cause the robots to shut down. If the zombies survive then the aliens would have succesfully destroyed the human race….and would be able to destroy these slow moving beasts with their quick reflexes and 2nd mouths full of sharp teeth.

Robots have their flaws, like, what if they rust or some kind of sun spot zaps the robots? Or even a virus?

Zombies are decaying bodies, just in a year they'll be almost gone. Deepding on where they are, and weather contitunes.

And Aliens could be wipped out with by a bactiera or chemical thats only found on earth that they aren't used to.

What will kill us all is the insanity running about. Everyone is afriad, no one can trust anyone and supplies will be low. So everyone will be stealing, letting or even killing people to surive. After awhile, it will be pointless for the Aliens, Robots, and Zombie to hunt us down, becuase there'll only be hand fulls left.
Zombies will root away, Aliens with die of bactiera, and Robots will rust. No one lives, no one wins.

Granted but humanity is already toast in this theoretical discussion so he cannot effect the scenario I have put forward.

That's true. It's blogs, Myspace, Facebook etc that are killing the web. It was debates like this and porn that made it what it is today. The blog culture is turning the web into a shit version of reality TV. :(

Now, back to the discussion. None of this "but the humans…" They're all dead already! The scenario says it! What are you, Thick???

Truly back to the discussion now:
None of us have considered the technological prowess of the aliens. We've just been assuming they're like the stupid typical Hollywood alien invaders; basically wild animals with very little intelligence. But consider this; imagine the technology it takes to move between stars! These guys could be so far in advance of us (even if they're in the form of "bugs" or whatever), that any robots we could have come up with would be as baby toys to them! Not a threat at all! And what are Zombies but just harder to kill but much crappier, dumber, less dangerous versions of living humans (can't handle advanced weaponry or use tactics). Basically the zombies would pose almost no threat to the aliens or the robots.

So, that's one point for the aliens.

Well I was thinking more like the Starship Trooper bugs myself whom were not only smart enough to travel through the stars but pick up a few alies along the way. In fact in the original script the Xenomorphs in Alien were basically supposed to be the Starship Trooper aliens after they got bombing into the stone age by a huge war.

This type of debate is what is killing the internet.
This type of debate is what built the internet.
;)

So thats why it sucks? I don't think anyone mentioned ninjas or nazis yet, but the law clearly states that it will be mentioned the longer this thread gets. I just wonder if this one will get over 9000.

Unless the robots are 100% sentient and hyper intelligent, my bet goes on the aliens. After all, they're probably more advanced than the humans, and if the humans built the robots, couldn't the aliens build something better? Like better robots? That wouldn't turn on them? As for the zombies, pshh, when your only ambition is food, there is no time for carefully thought out planning and battle strategies, like the other two groups will be doing. So they'd be the first to go.

All in all I just think this would be the most kickass B-list movie ever.

8. the sun turning into a red giant like it's guessed to do so.
need I have to explain?

9. the sun, not turning into a red giant but collapsing into a black hole.
again, need I have to explain?

10. some crazy implosion of the earths core.
without the earth's core there's no gravity I think… so we'd float about, eventually dying because the plants are dying out and all our food dying along with it.

11. Global Warming.
Watch T.V.

that's what I can think of…

oh yes…

12. the inevitable fact that we'll die out some day or another…

I say the robots have already won, and history is all a lie– in 1723, robots wiped out the zombie humans and the insectoids, and our society as we know it was made to wipe out from memory the great extinction that we're not very proud of. Humans are humanity version 2.0. This sucks, because original humanity was pretty cool before they turned zombie. I mean, come on, Final Fantasy 7 was based off the only surviving video game they had, and also the relatively worst video game they had.

VERY SIMPLE, the director of the movie. :-P He'll earn an awful lot of cash for a film like that…

What? They DID "Alien Vs. Predator", didn't they?

There's more to do in the Net of Nets!
