Put here the designs for your villains if you are suggesting one and also your Hero if either a) there is no active comic for this character or b) you are using a different design than that which appears in your title.

First sketches for a female superhero… this one pretty much already nails what I had in mind, the final design won't be much different.

She is called Bombshell.

She's an explosives specialist, working as a UN secretary, doing lobby work mainly against the use of mines… the idea is that she's fighting the bad guys as a lobbyist by day and as a superhero by night. She's equipped with a cybernetic glove… which basically makes things explode ^^. I'm also thinking of using some sort of shape-shifting armor to make her less vulnerable but still keep her human.

Sweet sketch! And a unique power as far as I know, so that's good too. Just so I know, what is everyone's character's powers?

Energize:
Energy based power - looks electrical but it's not, it's a unique energy that his body is constantly recharged with.
He has:
super strength
a protective aura
super speed
flight
thermal vision
energy blasts
a sixth sense for danger

Acrobat doesn't really have any super powers so I'll just list skills…

-Acrobatic (duh!)
-Extremely intelligent due to his strict upbringing by Blackhawk (like batman but more obsessive)
-Has martial arts skills…pretty much anything that robin can do
-a smart mouth : P

EDIT: and oh yeah, I wouldn't mind drawing a scene including bombshell. Socially awkward former teenage sidekick plus…well a bomb shell equals comedy gold.

Thanks guys. Dante (Hellfire) just has pyrokinetic powers (ignite and/or control fire) and also has a decent ability for hand to hand combat. Nothing too fancy.

Literacysuks1, I think that's a smart idea.

I don't want to start a new topic for this so…

I did a quick sketch of hellfire as prep for my pages. If anyone else does some sketches of other people's characters post them here so that we can be sure everyone is drawing all of the characters somewhat on model.

As for this one I think I got his hair slightly wrong and he may be a bit too skinny…I don't want him to be superman big but I don't want him to look like a teenager either.

Good picture, i think it looks cool.

As a side note, I have offered to colour the art of anyone who either can't or dosen't have time etc, etc…

can you just let me know who will be in colour and who won't?

Cheers

I'll try to color some of my pages – depends on the time I have, otherwise it's good to know my pages will be in your skilled hands.

Here the full new design, I just decided to be awkward and throw in some extra. Also, thanks for helping me choose the grey design. Deep down it was the one I wanted anyway, I just didn't realise it.

Literacysucks1, thanks for the picture! You did a great job there. I'll get practicing other peoples' characters asap.

Here's another one. sorry if its a little dodgy in place's, i had to rush it cause my cat wouldnt stop rubbing his head on the pencil while i was drawing, lol.

Sweet! I hate to say this, since the picture is so good, but I think acrobat should be just a LITTLE younger looking with a less square jaw, He's about 15-16ish.

Quick Energize, and just like hellfire I think I made him look too young. Agh. Doing a comic with mostly teenage characters has screwed me up. >_>

I've brainstormed his design a bit, but I haven't thought of anything that isn't either A ) generic or B ) stupid looking. Right now I'm waiting for someone else to post a good springboard.

lol… me too. Sorry for the lack of sketches on my part, I am seriously busy right now… if I can't find the time I'll just see how my scenes turn out in the script and practice characters accordingly.

Finally, some more sketches of Bombshell, so anyone who might get to draw her knows what I envision her to look like… these sketches are obviously not done for beauty or accuracy ;-)

What's important is that she really looks like a woman, not girlish… the Wonder Woman type. Think Frank Cho/Adam Hughes/Terry Dodson.

I'll do some more detailed sketches… especially of her the glove, which is not pictured here (but on the other sketch, should be one of the first posts in this thread). The idea is that her costume can expand to some sort of armor to shield her from explosions. I'll draw that soon too…

Thanks, I guess Witchblade is the most famous superhero glove bearer, but her glove and Bombshell's don't have much in common. Bombshell's is just a cool gadget, like Batman would have, not a mystic artefact.

And thanks for pointing out her hair color - she should be black haired in both her civilian and superhero persona! (I just didn't spot the blacks in the "civilian" sketch.) There are some other color changes though, I'll indicate them in a later sketch.

eeeeeh, I tried. She really doesn't have that frank cho drawing body type like you wanted….I'll study up on how to draw women like that a bit better before I do my pages.

EDIT: oh yeah, that new acrobat looks better. Still huge…but better.
