Thread "Heroes Unite 2: Details" in forum "Heroes Unite: Cavalry"

In case this effects your decision to be involved, here is a brief synopsis for the plot:

Heroes Unite 2:
After the events of the first book, the UN decided that world funding was necessary to make Heroes Unite an official network of all the worlds heroes. Controlled by a UN delegate from the HU Command the Heroes are United and dispatched to deal with large scale threats that require the attention of more than one.

In this storyÃ¢â¬Â¦Energize has not checked in with Command for 3 hours since being dispatched to investigate a disturbance in the jungle, which they deem unusual, so two heroes are sent to his last known co-ordinates to find him. On arrival they find that he has been trapped inside a sphere shaped containment unit by a bounty hunter.

The heroes must unite together to free Energize and defeat the bounty hunter whilst trying to determine who sent himÃ¢â¬Â¦

As I am writing the story but not doing any artwork this time, the least I can do is supply my character, so Energize will be in it.

Doh, Coil's out then, the whole "I'm a super villain" thing makes it kinda difficult to include her. and Acrobat can't be on a big sponsored superhero network for future plot reasons.
I can still supply a few pages of art if you'll have me.

Of course! Your name is already down for artwork if you'll do it, as one of the people that helped get this book going you are guarenteed preferential treatment.

As for Acrobat and Coil, I hope to keep Heroes Unite as an ongoing series so Im sure a future story could involve these two even though they are not part of the organisation.

This time round yes, but I consider myself a fair person and I will make a note of everyone interested. I will select characters based on who best fits the story but then look at who did not get included and make sure that the next story will work for them.

So there's 3 heroes in this one? If Phantom isn't a good choice, knock him out and replace with Swift, after the plot gets moving with him…

And for another Heroes Unite thing, I was thinking Coil can make her entrance by defeating Swift (My guy, as Acrobat is on the same universe and stuff.)

Hope some of those ideas help.

awsome, any progress on who the final characters will be? id like to get cracking on some sketches so that i could get a feel, also i have some character ideas that could be used for this if thats still neededn any eta on the script?

Heroes Unite need a colourist!!

If you are willing or know someone is willing to be the colourist on Heroes Unite then please let me know.

I have been colouring the artwork of those that draw B&W which is fine, but as of HU2 I will be handing the project over to Spudsy to run ongoing.

HU2 has been written by me but all the artwork for this as it is completed can be sent to Spudsy. Then if and when there is a HU3 it will be his call on everything…this is effectively his comic now.

I will continue to colour if i'm needed but it would be better if we had a dedicated colourist. Thanks in advance for you help.

I'm interested in coloring as I want to get some practice as STEALTH is going to be in full color when it arrives. Whoever it is who wants to pair up with me just say so and I don't mind coloring to see how I go.

Hmmm. Myself, Lightbringer, Dasien, and Ant have been planning a team book for a while, and there will be a reality-crossing villain who hates heroes and has a "Legion of Doom" working with him who are foes of the individual heroes. (We actually were planning this BEFORE Heroes United debuted, but we decided to put it off till after the CROSSOVER WARS finished their cycle. I know talk is cheap, but I put a foreshadowing of it in a comic issued early last year, at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/vision22.htm —which doesn't detract from YOUR excellent comic, or your claim to having the FIRST superhero team in webcomics to have crossovers from other superhero webcomics.) But from the description of Energize being CAPTURED—that sounds an AWFUL lot like something our main baddie would do or at least encourage.

Perhaps…we can do a little cross-fertilization of ideas on this?

And once our teaming is more or less established, who knows? Our teams might meet…

Heroes Unite 2 is pretty much wrapped up and just waiting to go into production, but im not against a possible meeting between the supergroups. Problem is I don;t know how easy that would be to put together.

Multiple users from one side to form the HU team and the same on the other side with your team. It may be TOO big to pull off. You never know though…

HU1 is almost near the end, then we can think about starting work on HU2. I will be replacing Spudsy as artist on this one as well. It is unlikely that he will be returning to the project.

Just wondering if everyone is still okay with their pages and general participation?

Sorry about these pics, i did them on my pad in work, they are all on one page but i sectioned them off and blew them up. I will sort it.

Here's a rough outline on what he is like.

He's about 6'5 and looks like your average all American hero, just think superman, square jaw broad sholders.
I wanted people to think "Oh here's a hero were all saved" that is untill they see the 3 tears in his face and the menacing glare.

he wears a toga looking thing with a jedi knight looking hood that turns whatever its covering invisable when pulled up, so if he doesn't pull it across his head you will see his face/hair basicly whatever isnt covered.

He has 3 tears on his face ( i thought scars were not manly enough )

One runs down from about 2 inch's above his right eye and ends in the middle of his right cheek.
The second one runs from above his left eye across the bridge of his nose and ends on his right cheek very close to tear number 1.
number three starts in the middle of his left cheek and runs at an angle through his lips and down his chin.

He dont really have any super SUPER powers as such but he is very strong, very intelligent, Amazing learning, and is battle savy.

one power he does have, is the ability to, if he gets beaten, come back with the knowhow and ability to beat the adversary the second time round.

What about the colors? I pq'ed Nepath a while ago and he mentioned the blue-white theme of the actual constume under the toga-like thing and I think light hair, but I can't really remember. What's the color of the toga and his skin color?

Just to let you all know where im at:

I have paused work on my comics at the moment to work solidly on the Energize & Dasien crossover. Once that has done I will prepare a new update for my books and begin posting the teasers for HU2.

I think everyone should be in a position to start their pages now, in fact QSAMA completed his pages some time ago. Im definately going to delay the updates until at least half of the comic is completed this time around to avoid lengthy update gaps but i would hope that we can begin releasing HU2 before the end of April.

PQ me if you have any issues that might hold you up. Spudsy will respond on the forum for the designs of TY.

well I would love to see finished rendering of TY inked and colored so I have a better grasp of what I am working with for my pages.

Plus is at all possible for the other characters in HU2 to be posted as well?

I was working on some pencils for Comet Kid and Plot Twist.
I don't know if I should post them here or the other thread…but this one seems more active.

Awesome sketches Midge, your Comet kid kinda looks like he belongs in a 90's grunge band : P. I can start my pages once I see the colored Ty designs, I'm going to try to ink and color my pages this time around so cleaner designs would be helpful.

and uh…not to be TOO annoying but can I get some photo ref for the kind of island the team will be on? I have no idea what kind of trees I should be drawing or if they're near a beach or anything. Also a design for the machine holding energize…I tried to do some sketches but I can't get the thing to look good.

Just a note—we've put the preliminary site to our team book, The CROSSOVERLORD, up at both Drunk Duck and webcomicsnation (and a comicgenesis one coming) and I added a links page to the webcomicsnation one, at http://www.webcomicsnation.com/crossoverlord/LIKS.php which specifically mentions and links to HEROES UNITED as the first grouping of individual webcomic superheroes into one team (a la JLA and Avengers, as opposed to say, X-Men or Fantastic Four, where they were ALWAYS group characters).
