As of Heroes Unite 2 I am going to become more of a dictator!!
The reason for this is that now we have this one underway I want to control the overall series more. The other thing is that whilst I continue with Energize and very soon will launch Fearless, I will not be doing any artwork for the next one if I can help it.
Instead it is my intention to write the story and make the final decisions regarding characters/artists involved that best fit that story. For those interested in taking part it means that although there will be less creative discussion, the project can be put together faster and you can get to the bit that you enjoy the most…drawing!!
Here's the deal at this point. If you are interested then make it known in this forum, let me know also if you are just interested in drawing or if you are submitting a character as well. In the case of QSAMA, Fitz, Ironhand and trevoramueller i know you have already expressed an early interest.
I already have a basic synopsis for the next story but I will save it for now…

I could do some art again for this one. As for submitting characters I'd like to submit Coil instead of Acrobat to avoid repetitiveness. She may steal, but if somethings threatening to blow up the earth or something I think she'd help. Though since she hasn't had much screen time in Acrobat yet I'd like to have some input on her dialog and actions, if that's okay.
Yeah I'd love to participate - but for now that's only my imagination running wild ;) I still have a LOT to learn as far as drawing is concerned, and I'd love to do something cool with the coloring. But since I've learned to draw and color almost from scratch (prior to drawing A Bit Cheesy, I hadn't done either in 8 years), perhaps I can get a hang of it by the time Heroes Unite 2 starts?
In any case, I could always help a bit with the script, since I'm primarily a writer.
That'd be AWESOME, Abt, since I'm not quite up for drawing A Bit Cheesy and something else at the same time. Not likely. Not if I want to finish another novel in another ten years ;) Which I do. Haven't written much for the past six months, and I'm ACHING to. Aaaanyway, yeah, I'd love to do the coloring. Especially if this would be something happening in the dark, so I can use my favorite palettes of just two or three colors. I should have a handful of nifty FX figured out by the time the project starts. I have rain so far. I'll be doing smoke in A Bit Cheesy very soon, aaand I saw awesome fire effects in Hellfire, and I'd love to give that a try, too. Also, I'll be experimenting with shading latex costumes. Not for ABC, just for practice. Then again… America in black latex… Meeeow! lol!
If I may suggest something for the plot… Lately I've been reading about Marvel's 2099 series (X-Men, Spiderman, Punisher, Hulk), and I was wondering if Heroes Unite 2 could be set in some more or less distant future… Just a thought. I've also been toying with a concept of my own futuristic superhero comic - which I'm not going to start anytime soon, but I'm just enjoying coming up with a story :) Which is funny, because outside of DD I haven't read any superhero comic since I was 15, so I'm a noob in this genre.

Don't take it personally Ironhand. The story was already decided upon and the characters selected fit the story better. For a moment there it was going to be Swift that was selected.
I've said before that I would like to make Heroes Unite an ongoing series so if this thing gets to HU3, I will guarentee Swift a position in that story right now.

Comet Kid has the whole green lantern "create hard light/energy constructs, survive in harsh terrains like the vacuum of space" and "fly with a glowwy aura around you" thingy going on. And he's got relative control of an actually piece of a real comet.
I'd like to be involved, seeing as how great HU1 is shaping up! I'm still in the rough development stages of 'Retake', my own superhero comic, but if there's any chance I can be involved, I'd gladly draw up some character sketches or - more suitably, for me - help with the writing…?

Yeah, so despite my checking out the comic all the time, I somehow missed the forum updates. Poopy on me, I'll have to be more diligent next round, so I can help out a bit more.
Nepath has been kind enough to let me do some character art for the run, though. I'm going to work on a few pieces for Energize this weekend, and try to get something up before February. It would be faster, if only work wasn't keeping me for 11+ hours of the day. ;)
My body tells me that I need to sleep at some point. :P
