Hey, brides! It’s bridal stylist Christina here ready with a bottle of bubbles & oodles of tips to get you started with wedding dress shopping! And as your virtual bridal fairy godmother, I’m here to guide you through all the joys of shopping online.

It’s true we love the experience of shopping in a bridal salon (I work in one after all!) but there’s no denying the advantage of shopping for your wedding dress online. Love a trendy designer from across the globe that’s not carried in your local bridal salon? You may be able to buy direct online. And what’s more, online retailers like Net-a-Porter & Moda Operandi offer high-fashion, designer gowns off the runway for brides looking for the ultimate fashion statement.

If you're hoping to shop for your entire wedding day look in one place, look no further than Nordstrom. While Nordstrom carries a small collection of wedding gowns that are available online from big names like Tadashi Shoji, and Amsale, the majority of their wedding dresses are carried in selected stores only. Once you've found a dress you'd like to try on, simply book an appointment at one of Nordstrom's in-store wedding suites.

If you're looking for a pop of color for your rehearsal dinner dress or any party in between, head over to Nordstrom's Designer Collections and take your pick of embroidered cocktail dresses perfect for a black-tie wedding or shop laid-back styles suited for a summer or destination wedding.

BHLDN is undeniably a fan favorite among brides-to-be and we totally understand why. In-store and online, BHLDN caters to the boho bride, the classic bride, the plus-size bride, and the bride on a budget. When browsing the site or the racks in-store, expect to find fresh and exciting styles from major designers such as Jenny Yoo, Watters, and Amsale.

Brides looking for ultra-feminine creations can expect to find gowns made of tiers of cascading ruffles and soft tulle designs dotted with floral embroidery. For the traditional bride, check out BHLDN's modern take on the classic ball gown. Whether you've found the dress, in-store, through one of their online consultants, or by browsing the site on your own, BHLDN also makes it very easy to build out your wedding day look with their plethora of gorgeous accessories from “Something Blue” shoes to exquisite cathedral-length veils. Also, don't forget mom! BHLDN boasts some of the prettiest mother of the bride/groom dresses around!

Moda Operandi is also known for its online bridal trunkshows featuring coveted designers such as Vera Wang, Danielle Frankel, and Oscar de la Renta where all gowns can be bought directly online. These trunkshows only last for a limited time so check the site regularly.

If you're also looking for a one-stop-shop for bridal accessories – you're in luck! Not only does Moda Operandi offer up their bridal picks for shoes and bags and jewelry, but you can also choose to browse the rest of the site where you'll find chic clutches from Cult Gaia, exquisite shoes from Prada, and jewelry that you won't be able to leave the site without.

Net-a-Porter boasts a stylish collection of wedding-worthy dresses like architectural gowns by Gabriela Hearst, classic silhouettes from Brandon Maxwell, and light and lacey midis from Self-Portrait. Once you've found the one, check out the rest of Net-a-Porter's bridal selection and you might just find the perfect rehearsal dinner jumpsuit or afterparty separates. And, if the groom shares your excellent taste in fashion, head over to MrPorter and send some suit and tuxedo options his way.

This is one of those rare cases where it’s better not to go by the name itself. Madrasi Bride has a great blog that’s called ‘Wedding Stories’. If you spend about 15 minutes going through the blog, you will be pleasantly surprised by the broad topics that are covered by them. They cover a broader range of topics and do not limit themselves to weddings. Although covering Wedding India trends and planning advice is still their focus, they also give relationship advice in some articles.
