What's there to tell? I'm just like every other typical seventeen year old, except for the fact that I'm a genius. While looking out the window of my class one day, I saw a black book fall out of the sky. After school ended, I went over and picked up the book, with the words "Death Note" written on it in a creepy font. While looking over the book, I read that the book will kill the person whose name is written in it.

At first, I didn't believe it, but ended up taking the book home anyway, where I write down the name of a criminal that was on television just for shits and giggles. As the book said, the man died. I realized my amazing possibilities, and started killing criminals who have done major or minor crimes, or people I feel the world will be better off without.

After a few days of messing around with the Death Note, I am confronted by Ryuk, the former owner of my Death Note. Ryuk gave me a lot of information regarding the Death Note. Despite his scary appearance, Ryuk is crazy for apples, which I supply him with.

Unfortunately, because most of the criminals are dying of cardiac arrest, the police get involved, and I, now dubbed "Kira" by the public, am risking myself every time I kill a convict. Another genius, who goes by the alias of "L", is trying his hardest to stop me, but both of us always seem to be a few steps ahead of each other.

I live with my mother, father, and younger sister.
