About

Jennifer A. Ducharme was plucked from her New Hampshire birthplace at a
very young age and taken to be raised in the wilds of Virginia. She grew
up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains with ghost stories,
monsters, and red clay everywhere. So it was rather inevitable that she
would decide to eventually tell her own stories and see how many people
she could scare into having nightmares for life. She now lives in
Richmond with a room-mate who takes up the left side of her brain, and
two rats. Also, she demands to have a book published by the time she's
30.

The sudden and unexplained murder of three students has rocked the foundations of the prestigious mountain boarding school Heatherton Academy. The only trouble is that no one else knows about it. That’s because the Faerie Courts got there first, freezing (pun not intended) out any human involvement. If they don’t find the culprit fast, then there may be a cover-up. Enter Virginia Tooms, a young girl who just happens to be heir apparent to the Winterlin Court of Fae. She and her friends must find the killer and fast, otherwise the Folk will cause every human there to vanish. Oh, and did we mention the vampires? Yes, there are vampires.

The story of Angel Witch Pita is about a classically average, unspectacular young woman who comes across a book that, upon reading an incantation inside of it, releases dozens of monsters and incubi and succubi that had been sealed within it over a century ago. She is then contracted by a winged pig named Buhi, who claims that he is a cherub in training, to find those she's released and stop them from harming mankind. He empowers her with his halo, giving her an angelic appearance and the power to call upon an angel form. As her adventures progress, she collects an Incubus in child form named Jinx (who is really the leader of all of those from the book) and a Succubus named Beliel. She initially believes herself to be a type of magical girl, but the truth is far darker, and far deeper than she could ever imagine.
