So…You get these little boxes for your "about you" section, and then you type things that you think people might find interesting about yourself. Sounds simple enough. Except…There's so much about a person. What do you write down? I suppose you don't have to take it this seriously, but the "about you" section got me to thinking. In a few hundred years when your descendants are doing their assignments on ancestry what will they be able to find out about you? Will they know that you have been offered publishing deals, but never accepted one because a better one might come along? Will they know that you were first chair euphonium, and that you also played ocarina, guitar, violin, and trombone? Will they know that you loved going camping, but never went far because you were saving for a big trip? Will they ever know anything about you beyond your name? Will they even know that? I suppose it's unimportant in today's world. No one's really preoccupied with being immortalized anymore. But for some reason I am…Is that so wrong?
