The author's name is Jared MacKenzie. He was born in Bremerton, Washington, and grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula. Bloodsucker is a first comic, but the author has been writing and drawing his entire life (infancy excluded). He is currently living in the wilds of Alaska teaching Yupik Eskimo children.
