About

Well, hi.

I've been here for a while, but only recently have I managed to get enough of a comic done to actually put it up. I'm a bit of a procrastinator, bit of a slacker. Easily distracted from one project to start another, which means that I have bags of half knitted sweaters buried all over the house.

I'm trained in fine arts, a printmaker by trade and I play with hundred year old letterpresses and lead type in my spare time. But I took some graphic design classes in college and therefore I also know of the wonders of the modern age, specifically adobe design programs. I use a lot of photoshop and recently I've branched out to include corel painter in my repertoire (chk sp?).

Let's see. I love history, lilacs, and creating characters to put into stories. I'm a recycling fiend and am also really into growing and canning my own food. I am horrible with plants, but I try anyway. I have a twin sister and two cats.

A simple "chibi" style strip, inspired by life and a very bored wandering mind, about the mundane, the moronic, the silly, the surreal, the cute, the quirky, the geeky and anything that materializes in my head.

Lola is the story of a sad, sad 13 (now 14) year old girl, who lives with her eccentric grandmother. After just entering junior high school, Lola begins to make new friends and go about life like every other normal kid...of course "normal" is relative.
