About

I go through frequent bouts of burnout. Some last a few months, some last a few years. That doesn't mean one of my projects is dead. Best to just get used to that notion.

I'm cranky. Best to get used to that, too. I spent a few recent years around mass-murderers, rapists, etc.. In a prison where they don't segregate this custody level from that – max, medium, min…doesn't matter, we were all housed together – and if someone gets poked up they just hold the pound long enough to get the bleeding SOB off the patch because he's blocking the way for the rest of us to get to chow or whatever. Changes a body, that atmosphere.

Been doing comics online, through my site, since 1997. Primarily mature reader sci-fi.

I'm a writer-turned-artist, and the only reason I started and continue drawing is to serve my writing. As a result, I do very few pieces of art that are not sequential, and not of my characters.

I've been published for a spot illo in the back of the one-shot "Taxman" and for co-inks on its follow-up, "The Exec". Both are from Comics Conspiracy, though I'm not sure they can be found in print anymore given that the creator/publisher died. You may have also seen my "Home Made" strips in the early issues of "AG: Super Erotic Anthology Comic" from Icarus Publishing, and on Sexylosers.com.

Frequently had an Alley table at MegaCon. Did workshops on inking for two years at Otakon, and a panel on webcomics at Kunicon Miami.

My website is now defunct after almost 20 years online. Casualty of prison time. DA account is Rainingbells

I have gone by "R." online since the early/mid 90s, but DD has a three character min limit, so…. I spent most of my time in prison as "Bones" so I'm more inclined to answer to that than anything.

Dad, dog-owner, militant bisexual (meaning I broke no shit from gays or straights who pretend we're confused, or the "LGBTQ Community" who seem to only find it convenient to include the "B" when they're making a push for the rest of the alphabet), ex-husband, and former DOC property.
