Holliston friendship is tragic, written by Greg Wright, starts off as a fun Halloween comic book. The main characters are Joe and Adam, they are hoping to throw the best Halloween party yet. But their tight on money. Then comes their friend Lance who I believe is a transistor who is throwing a big party and wants them to go. It seems like they really don’t like Lance, they try to get away from him. When they were on their way back to their house they find a dead black cat, under the cat they found a gold pre-paid gift card, Joe being superstitious doesn’t think they should take the gift card, but Adam is very excited and thinks they can pay their horror filmmaker careers. They then go into this shop where Annette works, the shop belongs to Annette’s grandmother who is a crazy old voodoo grandma. The voodoo grandma hypnotizes Adam, and lets him believe that he can have anything he could ever want, and Adam pictures everything he has ever wanted. Adam buys a doll for John’s girlfriend Laura, the doll hypnoses’ her and tells he to “Open her veins and paint a picture for me using your blood.” Joe gets mad at Adam for not taking his gift and tells him if he doesn’t take it he will “take him outside” they go outside and fight. The comic has a cool twist on comic books. The story is unpredictable and interesting. I really enjoyed reading Holliston Friendship is tragic. The story starts out as a basic comic book about Halloween but turns out to have an interesting twist on comic books. I would recommend this comic book.
