Multi-ethnic, multi-cultural - like to think of myself as an "all-American blend"
Served 1968-1972 during the Vietnam war - had a science background which had me stationed as a technician at a military laboratory for nearly three of those four years. Civil Service laboratories deemed my experience as "military, therefore not relevant to our current needs." This was in spite of the fact that I operated the same analytical equipment as their laboratories had. Fact: the military does not have its own unique biochemistry separate from civilian biochemistry.
Asking me about "my VA benefits" will bring an explosive response. Suffice it to say that the real mission of the VA is to be an adversary on behalf of the government against the veterans. If you think it is only a "veteran problem," watch the current ongoing policies of converting the Social Security System into an adversary on behalf of the government against the retirees.
Now working as a truck and bus mechanic - in spite of any "help" from the VA.
