Devon Legacy Issue 1 needs cameos

Posted at

I'm currently updating issue 1 of The Devon Legacy   (DD link). I'm once again going to need cameos to play the roles of extras.

This time it will be more typical looking so if your character does not match the criteria I will need to alter them to do so.
If you already had a cameo you can still ask but others before you will get priority.

This issue I'll need children and adults.

There are 2 scenes that will need cameos. I do NOT have the number I
will need this issue. If I get too many I will carry them over to next
issue.

1st location is a Tai Chi dojo. Children for this need to be 10 and
older. Adults and children will be used in the back ground. Basically
think of adults taking their kids to karate class and watching.

2nd location is a train station so lots of potential here for all ages.

Hope to see lots of cameo submissions!

These will be used in my printed
versions of the comics. So you are giving me permission to use these in
print with credits to your site. To be clear I will be selling the print copies (hopefully :P)

Feel free to put Carmen and Angie in the train station background, if you'd like. I don't mind you selling print copies. No need to link to my site though. The comic's over and done with, anyway.

Of course, you can use any UB characters that fit a need or you'dlike to draw.

I have a 12 year old, Caroline, but I haven't drawn her in four years or so. If you need a child cameo, I can give her a go. (I need to practice anyway. She has a key role coming up in UB.)

Oh, and there's Jack: http://usedbooks.deviantart.com/art/Jack-Beaumont-brainstorm-sketch-289886502?q=gallery%3Ausedbooks%2F4577214&qo=40 He isn't in the story yet, and is kinda young (7), but feel free to use him.

Can place Lucy from Project GTH in whichever location suits you. She's in her 20's

Got all of you on standby.
@Hogan: That character is an awesome concept! I'll have to resist making her take over my story to tell ppl they are in a webcomic xD

Also, I emailed you some time ago. I have several new cameos in issue 00. And would like it if you may update my links to my devonlegacy.com domain. I mean, all the drunk duck links are broken again anyway =p

Well, if you need parent and adult Martial artist, you can use Jax and his dad.
Jax is like 15.

And, his dad isn't usually holding babies.

Thats right, I put the updating on hold until DD was back… and also because I needed to see the strips linked on DD so I could transfer the links currectly to your new main site… but I should have that fixed that now!

… now to add the NEW cameos in the main comic… :|

Gotcha Hero!
@ Hogan: Can you also replace that super ugly Devon Legacy graphic you have. Man that was horrible! :P
I'd much prefer this one please.

@JNP: Ah, yes, thats because I define Crossovers as "storylines that runs through two or more webcomics at the same time, combining those for a time into one", whereas Off Hours is a stand-alone collaborated webcomic with artists and characters from a bunch of comics.
It got its own separate entry in the Archive for that purpose: http://www.dragoneers.com/crossovers/index.php?comic=Offhours
Off course, thats just my personal defination :-)

I'm not sure if you need only well-known characters for your cameos?  If not:
Ben Wyndham (aka the hero known as Chaos) has spent about a decade travelling the world studying martial arts, so it would make a lot of sense to see him in the background at a Tai Chi dojo.  He's incredibly wealthy though, so he's unlikely to be seen on public transport.
Some pictures of him can be found at:
https://next.theduckwebcomics.com/Tales_of_the_Unpredictable_Chaos/
Basically, he's in his early twenties with a slender, wiry build, green eyes and red hair.  He wears glasses and prefers to dress casual. (mostly jeans and a t-shirt).
I don't think you want him in Superhero garb, but if you do, the gist is that his his entire body is covered with a brightly multi-coloured version of Rorschach's mask, the colours constantly flowing and shifting and changing.  Unlike Rorschach's mask, Ben's suit is actually an optical display - page 3 of the comic attempts to visually convey that idea.
I'd be honoured if you wanted to use him as a cameo.  I'm sure you'll do him more justice than I do. xD
Please let me know if you have any questions.

He'll be there. Working on the dojo scene now. You made it just in time.
