And gene hole continues his wonderful interpretation of page 3.  Now, I've studied this page and I have two thoughts:
 
(a) In addition to whatever else may be in that purse, I suspect there's also some kryptonite (because that's some serious green going on) and
 
(b) We are not shown McDuff/McGruff's back flip that resulted from the impact to the kisser – hence the owie on the noggin.
 
Now I'm left wondering about how high did his feet fly . . .
