I admit, K.C.'s appearance was inspired by Kramer. Thin, tall, with wild hair. Dee-Dee, the DigiDup 2000, is actually a thinly disguised IBM Infoprint 2000. The Infoprint is black where the DigiDup is olive green. I think this is the first panel where you get to clearly see that Zoe has a "rat's tail". Her mohawk was inspired by the one Storm wore back when the X-Men were dead in Australia.
As for the end panel, that's another running gag. K.C. has an active imagination and loves his print engine the way some men love their cars. Dee-Dee's line there is a reference to the new Battlestar Galactica but I did K.C.'s armor in the style of the old BSG centurions.
What does K.C. stand for? That's for me to know and you to find out!
