Recently at work I was stopped in a hallway and asked if I might perchance be a gothic, which I flatly denied. Helpfully a set of co-worked stopped to join this conversation and added they though I looked like a vampire. You see I have a liking for simple black and red clothing with long coats….also apparently a side effect of several years and several thousand dollars of painful dental corrections have resulted to two white and prominent K-9's on ether side of my smile. I calmly explained that I simply wore black to make it easier on myself when doing laundry since I do it all myself. Black stains the least, last the longest, keeps you warm, and is quite stylish. Likewise I also like long coat because they are warmer as they cover your legs. At this point another employee said they though I seemed Korean………I’m still not quite sure about this one.
Anyway the point is perception. People take a look at you and they make some pretty sweeping decisions about you. Like for example I bet not many of you would have guessed I had Cookie Crisp for breakfast today. I twas really good. I have not had it in some time. The grocery stores by my house do not carry it but since I am staying with my grandfather now I get to have some sugary tooth rotting goodness for breakfast. It is sugaricious, which is to health what funjumacation is to learning.
Living with my Grandfather even if for a short while is certainly an interesting experience. My grandfather is rather, um, individualistic (Read kindly stubborn and does not like to be meddled with), insomniac (yea ‘cause 2 AM is sure not the normal time people wake up), and quite the ladies man among other things (Seriously I WISH I could talk to women the way he does, and he only dated my Grandmother before he married her quite successfully too I might add. Whhhhhyyyyyy is baldness genetic but that isn’t, it is a sick world we live in I tell you.). So this might sound like a bad thing but luckily most of my grandfather potentially problematic attributes I share.
2 AM Grand Pa (Here by made GP so I have to type less crap I have type more already explain how I shall save time typing): *Yawn* Wow that was like almost 2 hours I slept for, I must have really been tired. Oh hello there grandson. Me: Oh I pop. I was just going to bed. GP: Oh okay. *15 minutes later* Me: What are you doing. GP: It is a Sandford and Son Marathon. Me: So want to talk about China’s economic effect and post goblization companies? You see I feel…..hehehe Oh Sandford how DO you get yourselves into these things.
(I get very easily amused after midnight. Seriously even Hamtaro will make me laugh like a demented Batman villain if they put it on adult swim.)
Adult Swim Hamtaro: *Cute eyes* Passer by: Awww how cute, let me just pet. *Adult swim hamtaro goes for the eyes* Passer by: OH SWEET GOD!!!! AAAAAH MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!! AAAAA! Adult Swim Hamtaro: Quick get his wallet! Get his wallet. Me: hahahahahahaha Oh Hamtaro how DO you get yourselves into these things. GP: Give me back the controller or get out Grandson.
Still there is still one aria of contention between us, Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels for those of you not familiar with it, is a very helpful program to bring meal to the elderly. Since my Grandfather go out of the hospital was signed up for the program by my parents whom also make some meals for him so that he doesn’t have to cook for his first few weeks home. However if the meal is something he doesn’t like he gives it to me to take for lunch and eats something else. Now Meals and Wheels is a fine program and a fully support there work, but there meat loaf it needs a little bit of work and don’t get me started on their fish but their chicken is actually pretty good. Now I know I should just tell him but it is complicated and I don’t want to eat up all his food or seem ungrateful. So contrary to popular belief there is such thing as a free lunch but the meatloaf is dry.
Anyway hug you grandparents everyone, I’m off to watch Hamtaro & Son hahahaha how DO I get myself into these things!
