Ramble

I confess I love pictures of myself. I mean to be fair to me, I generally like self insertion of authors into comics or actors playing themself etc. etc. Sadly it generally doesn’t work for me. You see in most comics you need to be ready to make total complete and utterly deprecating humor based on yourself. For some odd reason when I write I have no trouble exploiting my inadequacies and character flaw. (My Egotism, my narcissism, my incredible cynically soul destroying sarcasm, my dandruff….) However the moment I move into a visual medium I desire nothing more then Myster Cool, you know if anyone remotely cool would actually refer to themselves as such.

Why do I bring this up? Because in my latest project a new original series I am co-writing with Amelius “Night School” I’m trying to take a more self depreciating tone. See people don’t like to be made fun of, so generally you have two options to make people laugh. First find a group you both don’t belong to and make fun of those people (making sure of course they are not going to sue you or find out where you live) or make fun of yourself.

I, not enjoying death threats, am opting for self humiliation. Like my computer crashing while I am writing this stupid RANTS ARG! But that is neither here nor there.

I blame my friends. You see they laughed at all my lame, lame, lame awful jokes (And if you saw my original series Chibi World yes they were awful as opposed to just shameful like they are now), when they probably should have just told the truth that they were crap. (Jokes about the size of weapons insecure males are using arg, no wait I did that one 3PF too >.>
