This character (the little girl) is actually based on a friend of mine, I wanted a character that could show how the east coast children reacted to the crash, and since I was living on the west coast at the time, I couldn't really relate or imagine her own experience. So I just asked if I could interview her and use her feelings to make this character, which obviously she allowed.
