I was heavily influenced by Evangelion… to me this page, with its use of negative space and the placement of characters, reflects that influence. It makes sense too… Naomi feels lost, frustrated and in the wrong place, and that's the sort of feeling Evangelion evoked.
EDIT:
TheMidge28: You're right concerning your observation, and don't be so hard on yourself; judging from your comic, your comments and your taste there's nothing wrong with your intellect! Feel free to ask as many questions as you like, it can only improve my storytelling. A friend of mine actually pointed out recently how your comment on ep.1 pg.1 opened both our eyes to the framing issue; we both hadn't noticed that before, so I'm always thankful for that kind of eye-opening criticism. DAJB: Thanks a lot! *takes a bow* Janen: Thanks, but be careful… I'd argue about that the ending was exceptionally great :-D Fitz: Thanks a lot, although I have to say I didn't put much thought into that… it all just seemed natural on me. I was running purely on instinct on the majority of these early pages.
