I think this is the first time we get to see the "real" Michelle… not a projection in Jack's mind. I never planned on her opening up and talking to Jack as she does here, but it just seemed right for her character. Because IF this scene were to actually happen, it would probably happen as it's shown here… but realistically, I think there's no way you'd ever suddenly be alone with the girl you've been adoring from afar in an elevator.
EDIT:
Fitz: Ohhhhh I get it. Yeah I'd definitely like to give it a try, I hope you can wait :-D Seriously though, I'm in the middle of final exams, and I had already agreed on some comic work before you noted me. That other comic is due in December, so I'd say I'll note you about Ahab & Moby after that, OK? Funny script BTW. And thanks! :-) Noxious: Thanks! Midge: Hmmmm… yes and no :-D Initially Jack was written as a reflection of my past self. I started writing AD around the year 2000, and setting it in 1997 was indicative of that reflection. That said, all events are fictitious, it's just the basic concept that's "real". Once I had the set-up, the characters started living a life of their own. And I never had a friend like Naomi. Sadly. Michelle's character has nothing to do with any real person either. If anything, she's an amalgamation of many people, mixed with my imagination. There are certain nods to real events, but only close friends would recognize them. One purpose of this comic is to express my feelings; they are what's real beneath all the fiction.
