This episode is supposed to conclude the main arc that began with ep. 3 (revoloving around the Milo/Golem thing). Some loose threads will (or may) be picked up in ep. 6 too.
Art-wise this episode seems a bit difficult for me to evaluate; I took a break of roughly one year after finishing it and drew no comics whatsoever. After that break I started drawing ep. 1. I think that break helped me get my act together, and resulted in a notable improvement of my artwork… mostly because I recognized the importance of planning artwork in advance.
I have to point out that I think this episode looks far better in gray tones (which I added after I had done artwork/gray tones on the first two episodes, thus I had a bit of experience in shading already) than it did without; layouts and drawings seemed to me to lack depth in b/w.
EDIT:
DAJB: I'm still weaving the same tapestry with these threads here :-D Thanks! Midge: Thanks. I can't get anything past you, can I? I admit, the mirror image is a mistake I made, and I cringe everytime I look at it. The mistake is mostly the angle… I envision his mirror image to actually do the same, but the angle's just wrong. Nepath: Thanks a lot! I think the first panel is one of my finer moments too. Fitz: Glad you like it! So far I haven't quite kept my implicit promise… it's only the second robot in 5 episodes ^^
