I've been working hard not to disrupt the weekly schedule again :-)
Actually it feels a bit strange, going back to working on A.D… I've been thinking so long about doing this story - ever since I finished episode 5 in March 2005. I've been putting together the tidbits I'd been writing since then into a detailed script for some months now, going back and forth on it, still changing things here and there.
One thing I'd like to mention is that doing the first chapter of signifikat has changed the way I approached writing Jack in this episode; some of what I stressed over there was supposed to be said/thought/expressed by Jack. But I'm really glad I was able to take all that to signifikat, since it turned into a much strong narrative there than it could have ever been here; Jack is still 17 and can't be played nearly as tough and frustrated as signifikat's male protagonist. So in the end this gave me the chance to really concentrate on the core of what A.D should be about.
EDIT:
Fitz: Thanks! Kiss unconscious girls much…? ;-) Oh, and the only guy with a gun here is Jack. But that'll become clear on the next page, in case you don't recall the piece about Jack's gun in episode 2.
DAJB: I'm glad you've become so attached to my characters :-) And Jack would have probably let Naomi sleep if she'd been in her bed… but sleeping like this can't be healthy. Not to mention I could never fall asleep anywhere else but my own bed :-)
Midge: Gah, I can never look at this page the same way again! ;-)
trevoramueller: Thanks a lot, but don't you dare encourage him (lol)…
Fitz (again): Heh, just kidding :) I guess it's unromantic but sadly, nowadays doctors tend to save more unconscious girls than kissing princes. Plus, Naomi would probably slap him if she really were to wake up at that moment…
