Review of the first two episodes

This page was drawn in August 2002, shortly before I started the series with ep. 3 (– for more info on the why and how please see A.D's forum). My intention was to give potential readers a hunch of what the first two episodes would be like… and only five years later they were actually finished ^_^

Reading this page with the actual first two episodes in mind you will probably notice how much the finished version differs from what's stated here. However, I like to think that I haven't changed the overall approach or direction, but only fleshed out the details and made the story more consistent (–I even kept the basic mecha design and Naomi ripping out one of its fingers).

By the way, here you can see what my handlettering was like before I created the typeface…
