These events happened about 9,900 years ago. This comic is a compressed version of events that happened over an eighty year period.

Many scenes are recreations based on period records. Nearly all the original digital video records were lost if not actually erased. It has been pieced together for this record from audio and fragmentary scientific papers.

In this case that is why details of the developmental prototypes immediately preceding this one aren't included.

The Grey G.A.L.s already like stripping others for conversion. Seems that like was in their make-up from the beginning. It would eventually become an obsession and an ingrained behavior of their subspecies.
