Bill and Bob talk about the beamer bracelets.
All of this refers to things that later happened in the comic Battle of the Robofemoids
So this is a prequel to that. Bob would become kind of an icon among Grey Guys for this as mentioned in Tales of SIG page 29.
But then Lon as mentioned here is the one supplying all the subjects.
See it all fits together into one story line!
