Forgive me for using the word x-rays on this page…no telling what the procedure will be called in the far-flung future, but I've used a large number of medical terms in this series to date, and there's really no need for me to send readers into further confusion by using madeup words now… :)
Yes, Doc tends to touch our heroine a lot on the shoulder or forearm in this stage: in dealing with disoriented or traumatized people, this is called Anchoring.
