And the catalyst of this inciting incident, from the bottom of panel 3 onward, Asuka and Tayge are thinking the exact same thing. Now, if you didn't buy issue #13, you missed the big reveal at the end that told Asuka's origin.
The shared quest for who they are will form a bond between Tayge and Asuka that carries through the rest of this series.
