I had a bit of a hard time trying to make the tire tracks light enough on Mr. Chippy without making him impossible to see. I could have added blood or made him appear more mangled, but I didn't want to make him look too gruesome, as it would take away from the humor. Also, I wasn't sure how to make his nut dust look either… but didn't want to dwell on it too long.
