Here we go, the start of a new storyline. This one will be much less grim than the last, although you should expect a reasonable amount of drama (or an unreasonable amount depending on your view). The first couple will be a little lighter, maybe a bit humorous. I mean, who doesn't love waffles?

Now to announce the winner of my little "Name Andrew" contest. I had so many entries for this it surprised me. Some were good, some weren't, but I was hard pressed to pick one out of all the choices. So I decided to pick one winner and two runners up. The winner will get to have one of their characters appear in an AROTD comic strip specially written for them. It's like free advertising. The runners up receive nothing (except a little mention here and my undying gratitude).

Without another wasted moment, here we go!

THIRD PLACE: Nigbun with her choice of Andrew Scopes. Sorry Nigbun, but while your choice was good, it just wasn't the right one for Andrew.

SECOND PLACE: Crocty with his choice of Andrew Barrymore. He picked this one because of actress Drew Barrymore or so he says. It was a great name, but I was hesitant to use it because of the exact same reason he picked it. Still, I might find some way to fit it in now that I think about it…

FIRST PLACE: And now, our winner…Kimhura with the name Andrew Thompson. This name stuck out at me because it didn't stick out at me. It felt so normal I feel it works brilliantly.

So, apologies to those who didn't win (and to the ones I didn't mention here, I'm even more sorry; your entries were good, just not among the top tier) and congratulations to Kimhura. I'll be sending you a PQ soon to ask which of your characters you want used in my special AROTD strip.
