Here's Jared's bio! Be sure to read my entire author comment here as we'll be talking with CK to see how Jared has changed in the year that she's known him.

This bio may not tell you a lot of new information, but Jared's not all that complicated. When I created him, I wanted to make the perfect guy to force into a situation he never expected. I wanted to take a perfectly normal, even boring, young man and turn him into…a NERD!

Unfortunately, I never let you guys see the serious side of Jared. We met him just as his world was turned upside down, although I'm sure there will be some flashbacks to his earlier seriousness.

For me, Jared quickly became the rock out of the three (Henry, Andrew, and himself) that kept them all anchored. He didn't begin that way, but that's how he's grown.

Where will he go? I'm not sure, but I think we'll be seeing him get closer and closer to asking Toni out, and of course see him progress along his nerd path. I also think we'll see him take a more confrontational stance with Gordon, Andrew's brother. That storyline isn't done by a longshot!

CK's take: I'm going to talk abut how my art has changed and how that came about…Y'see, when I first agreed to draw Steely's comic (i.e. convinced him to actually go with it) I needed to find an art style that'd suit it. Because let's face it, the one I use for John Clyde just wasn't going to cut it. ;p So I did some looking around and decided to try for one that was similar to the art of Jeff Smith. (of Bone fame) Needless to say, it didn't turn out quite like his. ^///^ *lol* But that was a start…However, as I went on, I realized I wasn't exactly happy with the way things were going and I wanted to make a change. So I did some more looking and I went back to a comic that gave Steely most of his inspiration for this comic…No Pink Ponies. I didn't go through the full archives, I'm saving that for later, but I went through the first few weeks of art and got the inspiration I was looking for. I started by trying out subtle changes and I guess it's now sort of evolved into a mix of Bone/No Pink Ponies art-wise…Um yeah, all my art styles were inspired by other people's work, I tend to copy bits and pieces so that they're similar but not the same. ^///^ Uh…guess that's all…back to you, Steely! (sorry I got long winded.) ;)
