Whew, it's a bit of a low way to put this storyline to rest, but this marks the last page of the Chance Encounter storyline. Hard to believe that this storyline introduced our new page sizes, eh?
Well I've been so dang busy the past few days I haven't even had time to keep up with all the comics I read. I'm sorry to any of you whose updates I've missed. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up and won't incur too many angry creators because of this. I really am sorry, for both my absence and the fact that I'll be going on a comic hiatus until January. With a loved one just out of the hospital, and the holidays coming up, things are really pressuring me right now.
Also, I figure this is as good a time as any to try something new. Normally I miss a comment or two with each page, and I love to respond to them all, so I thought I'd try responding to everyone's previous comment here. I've seen a comic or two do it, and it seems to work. So, without further ado, last week's replies! —
Thoththegrey: Thank you! I like a fully-formed character in my writing, so even though Gordon started out so simple in my mind, he grew into a real person, with some devastating flaws. Amanda: He was a bit less scruffy back then, wasn't he? Maybe he'd still look good…if he'd smile a bit more. Aghammer: Thanks. All is well, I suppose. Just horribly busy and very stressful. Recently my grandmother went in for an operation and the worry of that alone almost wiped me out for the whole week. Antcomics: Yeah, Gordon helped to protect Andrew a lot, and he even did earlier this evening (well, this evening in the comic, two months ago in real life :P). Someday we shall see where the split between the two of them occurred…now though, it will be time to move on to other characters. Trevor: Use my free time wisely? Sounds interesting…but way too hard. :P Hopefully though, I will manage to get off my backside and actually achieve some of the things I put on hold for too long. Nigbun: But…but I don't want to stop reading! Or go on hiatus either, but the situation demands it. Here's to a great new year then, eh? For both of us. :) Flup: Thanks. That was all CK's doing. She really knows how to adapt my scribblings. If I showed you one of my scripts, you'd be amazed that they come out looking like this. :) Kid: Well you did shake it up nicely. I love how you mess with my simple format and make it look really good. Megoon: Thanks. Adding a bit of depth is all part of the job in my writing. :) Johnkeating: Woe is me! I wish I could just take all the credit for the layout, but I cannot. My script was so…rigid and boring that CK took it and broke it into a nice new shape. Thanks. :) —
And next week we'll have a lovely piece of fanart by…well heck, telling you would ruin the surprise, wouldn't it? ;)
