I've heard this countless times, people claiming that A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time are essentially the same game. No, they aren't. Each game's story concerns different major events in the history of Hyrule.

On a side note, those weapons that Crash Man sports in the final panel go on to become part of his weapon upgrade a bit later in the story.
